  Good morning
  
  On 15 May 2025 at 10a; I had an appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted by an volunteer who ask if she could help me. I told her what department that I was seeking. She said she did not know where that floor was. I was kind of confused as to why you ask me if you could help me then. She referred e to the information desk. The information was full of socializing in between a woman describing her upcoming weekend plans to another woman and man who was only sitting there. They took my information and said that I was now checked in.
  
  After sitting now, I was called up to the registration desk. The desk had four individuals sitting at the desk. There was a woman taking my information, a heavy-set woman recording the information, a blond hair woman standing listening to my information, and a man of India heritage. I requested for privacy and was refused. I then asked the individuals to identify themselves and they would not. Later the Blonde-haired woman said she was an employee of the hospital; I replied that as an employee still does not mean you have an need to know my personal information.
  
  I wish to report a violation of the hippa laws by failing to provide me privacy at registration even after I requested privacy to be given.
  
  To All: beware of a hospital who practices openly interring with patients' privacy and request for privacy.

  Contested my bill, I don't get a call but a letter saying nothing will be taken off expenses! I went in after weeks of numbness, tingling all over body, falls, and my neck jerking like a seizure.
  They did the same blood work as my doctor the week prior. It all came back fine. I was told by either a resident or attending that it was just because I was pregnant. They never did a pregnancy test. I was told they wouldn't do any tests due to my pregnancy, which they never confirmed.
  I was sent home with a neurologist referral. The neurologist never called. I called them but they stated they did not get my referral and would call when they did...
  A week later symptoms were so bad that I went to another ER. I had guillain barre syndrome. If Soin took my complaints seriously my syndrome may have been caught then and not gotten worse.
  I sent 2 emails that were never answered, and I gave plenty of time! I called and was told that my complaints would be looked at and I'd get a call in a week. I got a letter stating it could take a month. A week later another letter saying they did everything right...sorry if my perception was different but they won't adjust the bill!
  I've been informed by doctors and staff at other hospitals not to go back to soin due to lack of capable staff.
  I want a full Apology for not my perception but the real problem that staff did not take my problem seriously, put me at greater risk of my GBS getting out of control, assuming based on my word alone that I was only pregnant and that's all it was, and not doing tests due to a pregnancy that they never confirmed. 800 dollars for a primary visit basically is ridiculous. I don't even care about the money anymore, someone pull up their big boy panties and call instead of sending a letter that my perception was wrong!
