      Eventually she said that someone in billing (*****) would be better able to answer my questions; ***** never returned my call.

      At my next appointment, I again asked about insurance. *******, the office manager told me that because I had already chosen the "self pay" option, billing insurance was not possible. When I told her I had never made that decision, she called billing, and then asked me to sign several documents, one of which was partially handwritten. I called my insurance company, and after speaking with them, refused to sign the documents, as I had already signed an acknowledgement of the practices financial policies at my previous visit. ******* told me these were "CYA" documents; I reiterated my refusal to sign them. She then called billing and asked me to speak with *****. She was rude, unsympathetic and offered no additional information or solutions; I ended the call, then left the practice without the product and without the deposit.

      I spoke with *** ****** on 01/19/2024 and we came to an agreement that this was all a misunderstanding/miscommunication.  Patient did schedule an appointment to pick up his orthotic later in the same week.
