    I told Kelvin ahead of time that I had twice the number of boxes as normal, and he quoted me $600. He didn't complain about how many boxes I had when he arrived, and both men had a dolly (as opposed to relying on their ability to 'carry' approximately 70 boxes). Kelvin was patient with his helper because he didn't speak much English, so Kelvin communicated with him in their native African language. Kelvin didn't complain about limited space, which would've pressured me into 'choosing' which items I would have to leave behind, and I've worked and sacrificed so hard for all that I own. When the job was done, Kelvin accepted the agreed fee of $600 and did not subject me to the 'nightmare' that some movers put women through, which is to inform her that he is doing her a great favor by only charging her that particular fee, stating that he normally gets twice that much - AFTER she'd just given him the fee that they agreed on. Kelvin's fees are transparent - he quotes you a fee and puts it in writing and you both sign the agreement. Right after we agreed on his fee, Kelvin allowed me to 'text' the quote to him, which served as a solid quote agreement. I felt safe and secure because I could tell that Kelvin is a man of integrity and realizes that if he cheats or exploits the vulnerability of a woman and her teenage daughter, it will come back onto him ten-fold; we even talked about such a fate. A friend of mine moved two months ago and her movers ignored her carefully labeled boxes that indicated which room each box was to be placed in, and crammed all of her boxes in the kitchen and living room, stacking them as high as the ceiling and it took her days to undo what they'd done, and any man who'd do that to a woman is a man without a conscious or spiritual belief. I hope you'll give Kelvin a try - and after he gives you a quote, feel secure and confident in asking him if you can text the quote to him, to ensure a meeting of the minds as well as to protect both of you.
