Laughlin construction recently did a ton of construction work on my neighbor's property at *** ******** **. in ********* **., without so much as pulling a single permit. They also relocated a fence/post gate across the pre-existing property line (designated by two separate fence lines...mine (which they aligned their new fence post/gate with)...and the neighbor's fence line (still existing in their yard {of which I have pictures to prove}).
Laughlin did not only pull the proper permits for any of the work (I have already contacted the City of ********), they failed to check the property boundaries. Had they even paid attention, they would have seen the neighbor's fence line in their back yard (with which their new fence post SHOULD HAVE BEEN aligned with)...NOT MINE.
I require that Laughlin relocate the fence post/gate in question, or prove in writing (a site survey) that they did not cross the existing property line with their construction...as evidenced by two separate fence lines in the yard (as seen in the attached photo).
I tried contacting Laughlin multiple times, without a single response.

    *******,

Concerning your inquiry.  As confirmed in the attached pdf file, on 08/17/2022 a complaint was rendered to our office concerning a fence issue.  Initially it was believed that the resident at *** ******** **., may have erected a “new” fence, based on the comments from the complainant (resident at *** ******** **.  Initially this was believed to be the case, so a case was opened the matter looked into, with a subsequent “Notice of Violation” letter being sent to the property owner of *** ******** **.

Further investigation into the matter however, revealed that a new fence had not been erected and that a repair to the gate was done to a pre-existing fence.  Upon confirming that “NO” permit was required for the said repair, no further action was taken by the City of ******** Code Compliance office and the case was closed.

It has also been conveyed to the resident (complainant) at *** ******** **., that concerns about the fence being on their property would have to be surveyed by an independent company to determine the property line (pins) to see if in fact there was a violation.

I hope this is what you needed.  Please feel free to contacted me for any further assistance.

                    Respectfully,
