Subj:  Complaint by ******* ******* of 7/31/2024, assigned ID **************

Ref: Better Business Bureau letter dated August 1, 2024

    1. I will respond by breaking down her complaint by sentence.

        a.  ** ******* called and asked if I could come and look at her septic system.  I arrived and inspected her system and found that the aeration blower was bad and needed replaced.  She asked how much it was going to cost and informed her that it would be $450.00.  She said she didn't have that readily available, would have to get somewhere.  Later that evening she called and said that she had gathered the money.  I ordered the aeration blower, which took 2 days to come from the company.

At NO time did I ever mention that if she payed cash it would cost less.

Once the pump came in, I replaced it immediately. That started showing other problems, as she stated, I informed her that her that she had bad floats.  I also informed her that the floats were an additional $260.00.  Never received a response.  I also explained that the floats were not covered by the $450.00.

        b.  She now mentions in her complaint about the Oriental/Elephant/Pompus Grass.  I will cut to the fact.  Over a year and a half ago, the ******** ****** ****** ********** conducted an inspection and found the system to be in a state of disrepair.  ** ******* contacted me and I went out and got the septic system back in compliance with State and County rules.  Which is where this all started.  I informed her and her husband that the grass had to be moved or removed, because it was so thick access to the system was impossible.  That the grass was planted right on top of the system, which is not supposed to happen for just such reasons.  Many requests had been made to her to cut it down or move it for I was not going to work under the conditions.  She states that I had not returned to fix the floats.  I still had not received money for me to get the floats, and I drove by her house to see if anything had been done with grass, which never was.  When she called saying that the system was overflowing and couldn't mow I went out with all intentions to fix the system,  Again nothing had been done with grass, to give you an idea how thick the grass was, you couldn't find the system.  Again nothing had been done with the grass.  So without getting into she said, he said.  I went to the front door, at no did I yell at her, by any means.  I reiterated that nothing had been done with the grass and I can't get to the tanks that I need to.  I even offered to cut the grass down, and never received a response.  I made every effort to help her.

        c.  Addressing the $450.00.  This was for the aeration blower only.  Did not include the floats.  The normal cost for an aeration blower is $575.00.  I am not worried about the money I will send the $450.00 back.

        d.  I just wanted some assistance with getting access to the tanks.  If you have ever dealt with this grass, It can cut you up good.

    Regards
