These dogs have been rescued, their lives have been saved. They do need to be trained as they have not had a normal life. I adopted 2 of the sweetest girls and they are learning. They came with vet records of shots, spay, microchip, and one of them had dental work. I took them to my vet to have them established as patients and my vet was impressed with the health/vet care they received at the rescue. ***** is doing her best to re-home these poor souls who were going to be cast aside, in my opinion.

Linda was not honest with us about the condition of the dog we adopted. It seems like there was no vet check. We suspect that she may have just done her own vaccines as she has no other vet records except the generic handwritten vaccine card. The dog ended up having a list of medical conditions that we didn’t realize until we paid our “cash only” adoption fee and then took the dog to our vet. We contacted Linda and she told us we have a horrible vet and that we should get a new one, and that she would pay to get one of medical conditions fixed if we went to her vet. We just cut all ties and plan to foot the bill since there are too many question marks here. The dog also does not appear to be house trained as indicated in the bio. Linda had a lot of animals there at her house!! We love our rescue dog and decided to keep her despite Linda!

I was astounded to read the negative reviews about Plain & Fancy Animal Rescue and felt compelled to offer our entirely opposite experience. Linda responded within an hour to the adoption application we completed through ********** She answered all our questions via email, text and phone conversations and we agreed to meet Mason (now Rudy) later that week. He was exactly as advertised: adult male Moyen poodle, gentle, healthy and sweet. We paid the reasonable adoption fee and brought him home. Rudy, a former unsuccessful stud at a breeding farm, had never lived in a house or been anyone’s pet. Linda was upfront about this, so we were not surprised when we had to teach him how to walk on a leash, how walk up and down porch steps, how to sit, etc. We knew he wasn’t fully housebroken because he’d never lived in a house. He is still learning basic commands, but has made remarkable progress in the six weeks we’ve had him. All of this is to say that Linda was very honest about the challenges facing owners who choose to adopt dogs rescued from breeding facilities. Linda rescued Rudy. It’s our job to invest time, love and energy to train him to be a good pet. She was 100% correct that Rudy is a gentle, sweet, healthy dog who’s great with kids. Our vet, vet techs, dog trainer, groomer and numerous dog-owning family members agree that Rudy is an exceptionally gentle, well behaved and bright dog and he is fast becoming a wonderful pet. We are very grateful that Linda rescued him and placed him with our family. We highly recommend Plain & Fancy Animal Rescue.

I received an imediate response from Linda letting me know a particular dog was still available but now I can't get a response to my emails about meeting/adopting the dog or even if it's still available. Very disappointing!! Why advertise animals available for adoption if the people aren't serious about it?? Doesn't seem like the people are actually helping or rescuing the animals at all. The poor animals are the ones who have to suffer. Hopefully, Linda is treating them better than she is treating the potential adopters! Definitely a SCAM organization!

We adopted a Lab named Dozer and when we got him he had several health issues. We had to have a tumor removed and his ears were covered with mites. We were also told he was house broken which he wasn't. I tried several times to reach Linda and she failed to return my calls. i even told her i didn't want reimbursed for my vet bills i just wanted her to take Dozer back since everything she stated wasn't true. Eventually after numerous attempts we were able to return him and when we did she was unappreciative for all we had done and even told us the issues he was having was due to the fact we were giving him the wrong dog food. we have another lab that is 5 with no issues and have had other labs live to be 10 and 12 and were on the same food. Not sure this is a rescue or scam to make easy money but i encourage anyone else looking for a dog to look somewhere else.
