I bought my Heat Pump System for my house on 5/31/2016, and the documents I was given had a 10-year warranty on parts. Then I paid every year for maintenance of the heat pump system. Last year, my thermostat had failed, and they sold me a $600 **** Thermostat, that they did not know how to install. So when the temperature in the house was still freezing, and the fan outside was making a lot of noise, I called them again, and they rewired the thermostat. But the outside fan kept making a lot of noise, and their response was that was normal. As a chemical chemical engineer, I know this was not OK but I used the system. The company, which was originally ****** Comfort, came again to do maintenance, and I again complained about the outside fan making a lot of noise. They said that this was normal. Then this winter, when it was freezing outside, the system was not heating the house at all. So I called them again. They had been to my house only a month back and said everything was OK. The technician sent me a one-line email saying that the thermal expansion valve had failed and that it would cost $2,000. So I called another company and they said that the valve was fine, but the filter had got clogged due to another valve failure due to the sudden start and stop of the system, which was making the noise for several months. So I called National Heating and Air Conditioning and said that the valve they had said had failed was incorrect, but the filter was clogged since the valve seal (another manual valve) had dislodged and clogged up the pipe connected to the filter. So they said they would have to replace the filter and manual valve assembly. All this time, my house was electrically heated, and my monthly bill was $670 instead of the normal $280 per month. So I called National Heating and Air Conditioning about the 10-year warranty. So they said that the cost would be reduced to some extent. This company has no idea about heating and air conditioning.
