    I am submitting my complaint against Big Blue Canopy LLC for unethical and surprise billing. After receiving a ****** Health explanation of charges, it was brought to our attention that Big Blue Canopy has been charging additional fees for Speech and Occupational Services. The two excessive charges were identified as feeding and Augmentative communication services that were being charged along with the same-day charge for speech and occupational services. The services were not initially requested, but we were asked what other issues we were experiencing at home. Big Blue Canopy said these concerns could be implemented into their initial treatment. As for the augmentative communication services, no training was provided regarding how to use the device but simply the device to be used during services. The feeding was my son trying different foods and eating lunch at their office.
    Regarding the surprise billing, it took us longer than two months to receive a bill, and we were not informed that everything could be obtained from their website. In addition, no communication was provided on how to successfully track the progress of our two kids, who have been attending Big Blue Canopy for services. I brought up the excessive charges to the representative in charge of the billing. The only thing offered was 80% off the feeding and augmentative speech therapies due to the inconvenience of Big Blue Canopoy's miscommunication and a repayment plan that doesn't support the well-being of my family. |
    There has also been a breach of contract from Big Blue Canopy. My wife signed documentation to prevent our children's pictures from being used on any social media platform to protect their privacy. Still, Big Blue Canopy disregarded the sign documentation and posted a picture of our child on their ******** page.

    As the business owner, I have been made aware of the siituation and have tried working with the family to find a resolution that works for them. I understand the concerns that the family has and am happy to further communicate regarindg this matter. Our companys goal is to support the families we see and it is unfortunate that this experience has been had by the family. We will be reaching out to the family as well.
