Basinger install a sewage pump in a upflush toilet , pump comes with 3 year warranty , pump stopped working and would not actuate , or would run non stop ! Called basinger explained the issue to them and it was under warranty , installed pump after multiple conversations and explain to them i understand how a float switch operates , they were VERY reluctant to warranty the pump, after installed, technician states in documentation the the float was rubbing the sides (improperly installed) SEE PICTURE !!by Basinger! Which was why the pump was not functioning, put new pump in but stated new warranty would not be in place since the bad pump had the orignal warranty ????? also charged ****** for them to pull the pump( Their mistake) and service fee. Nothing like getting charged twice for one item! ***** this company!!! Dont stand behind their work or products , never again!!

There have been two calls and an email in regards to this complaint. This is the email below that was sent explaining the situation.

As I stated over the phone with you, I had spoken with my technician that installed your new warranty pump. There was no evidence that anything had been installed incorrectly on the original install. As stated on the invoice that you posted online, he believed the float was getting stuck to the side of the tank. That does not mean that it was installed incorrectly. There are multiple things that could have gone wrong with the pump. This was also originally installed back in 2022, and there have been no calls or complaints from you about anything not working correctly until now. Unfortunately, there are pieces of equipment that last 25 years, and others that last 1. We do our best to get people taken care of and warranties filed when they quit working within a warranty period. Nobody from our company ever stated to you that the pump was installed incorrectly. You were only charged labor to come out and pull and replace the pump.  There was no reluctancy to warranty this pump. As explained to you your warranty on your pump only runs through the warranty period of the old pump. If you have an issue with the pump warranty, that is something you would need to take up with the manufacturer as that is not something we can change in anyway. Also as stated over the phone with you, this goes for all parts that I am aware of, not just these pumps. I do apologize you are unhappy with your service. I hope this email helps moving forward.

I recently had work done on a toilet. The service fee was reasonable and the repair was also fine. But when I asked the plumber if he had an extra toilet handle in the truck, he put one on and charged me $146 for a toilet handle. I purchased all of the parts at the hardware store that is run by Basinger, and even a wet/dry vac. The plumber never told me it was going to be so much. The same toilet handle hangs in the shelf in the hardware for $18.59. Ridiculous. This was wrong and the office manager would not cooperate with me to help me remedy the issue. Be very aware.

I reviewed your invoice you received and the $146 charge was for the part , installation and setup. If you purchased the handle, I will gladly refund you the cost of the part. Please let me know.
