I have used Action Appliance in the past to repair my washing machine. The most recent incident involved my washing machine to stop aggitating clothing. I contacted Action Appliance on Friday, November 1st. I was told a technician would arrive on Monday, November 4th. A technician did not contact me or show up on November 4th. I called Action Appliance inquiring when a technician would be at the house, I was told it would be the next day, Tuesday, November 5th. The technician did arrive on November 5th. After running a diagnostics on the machine, he intepreted the problem to be the main drive motor needed replaced. He did not have the part with him, would have to get it from a local supplier. He would return on Thursday, November 7th to install. By the end of the day on November 7th I did not see or hear from the technician. I called the phone number I had. I talked with the technician's father and explained the situation. The father told me his son was not returning his calls and that he would get back to me and let me know what he found out from his son. The father gave me the son's cell phone number, which I called and left a message asking the technician to call me back and inform me when I could expect to have the machine fixed. Be Friday, November 8th I didn't get a response. I again called the father. The father said he was driving to Michigan and that he would install the motor on Monday. Not able to wait, I drove to Youngston, OH (60 miles) to get the motor and installed it myself. The machine had the same issue with the new motor, indicating the motor was not cause of malfunction. I procured another service who repair my machine on Tuesday, November 12th. The culprit was a clutch assembly. When contacting Action Appliance November 12th to request they refund the $200 I paid as a deposit (on November 5th), I have not had any response from the father or son since.
