My builder used Monarch for all my flooring. After 2 yrs, the *** flooring buckled and had gaps so the builders rep said to contact them, but wasnt sure about warranty. My only concern was to get the floor fixed and did not expect it to be free. I called the owner as directed and also asked if I could order more flooring since NO extra flooring was left. After 3 weeks no response, so I called him back. He said flooring was discontinued and wouldnt drive to *********** until they were in the area. I called **** Floors to locate more flooring and they confirmed discontinued. Filed a complaint (against builder since they contracted w/ Monarch and surprise - 1 box came in. Repeated attempts to get flooring fixed dragged on. Company also blamed us for the problem saying it was water damage or we dragged our stools over floor. Tired of being put off for months, I called other flooring companies who all stated it was improper installation but were hesitant to take responsibility for another company. Went back to **** and was able to locate 4 boxes and found a company to fix. It cost $1200 - took 4 mos and lots of calls/frustration. Interestingly, when I called **** back in desperation to get more flooring, the rep sent a spreadsheet of all retailers in ** that ordered in past 24 mo. I worked the list until I cobbled 4 boxes and one of the retailers was MONARCH! Totally unacceptable that this repair wasnt resolved until 4 mos. and the lack of customer ********************** for a minor fix. Also, dont blame the customer to excuse improper installation.

Monarh Carpet One does NOT stand behind their carpet and padding products, NOR do they seek to resolve the bad installation of their carpet and padding products. Multiple complaints of visibility of ALL carpet seams lead to the "stretching of the carpet" to resolve the problem. However,0 it left the "higher" quality padding underneath buckled and the "high quality Tigress brand" carpet crackling and crunching all around edges. Monarch has now chosen to IGNORE my complaint by explaining away the obvious seams present and not returning calls or email communication that *** (Carpet One office Manager) consistently vows to do. I feel if there was no intent to stand behind their product or installation, then Monarch Carpet One should refund me so that I can have my home carpeted properly.
