[**** Attorney General complaint. See file.]The constituent had foundation problems and on 11.2.2012 she had a company do the foundation work. They completed the job and provided a 30-year warranty. In 2023 she had another company come to install a walk-in shower. She was told that they couldn&#**;t install it because there was a foundation problem. She contacted the foundation company, and they told her three times they would come out and look at it. To date they have not looked at the foundation problem. She does not have an email address and prefers correspondence via post office box *****************************************.

We looked at the foundation and it didn't need fixed. Everything on the list from another contractor had nothing to do with the work we did on the foundation.

I am rejecting this response because: Upon rereading my initial complaint it is misstated. The company did come out and check my foundation. First the father then the son. They didn't agree with what was going on between the two of them. The son did the checking under  and around the house and provided an estimate. My damage inside the house was exactly the same as before their initial work 10 years prior.  The outside was worse.  There is a 30 year warranty. They had put in 11 helical piers initially. They would not even dig up one to see if it had failed. Just kept saying they did no wrong. They said my floor joices were bad and sill plates wet.

They would just patch the foundation.

I got three other estimates. Those companies felt the helical piers were placed too far apart at 9ft. All of their companies recommended 5-6 feet.

All of the other companies would do either helical piers or anchors to shore up my foundation and ameliorate the damage/ prevent further damage.

Even my lawyer wondered how what they proposed would prevent further damage to my home.

Does the consumer have NO RIGHTS in this situation?

In talking to ************************* he tells me there is a thirty year warranty. He also agrees that if no one looks at the product that is warrantied the warranty isn't worth much.

Other people have spoken to me re trouble with this same company.

I feel they have some responsibility to my situation.

Upon reading, but failure of the helical piers is most often due to human error.

****** denies ANY FAULT  on their part and apparently  feels patching my foundation   would be the answer. I on the other hand feel this would be like putting a bandaid on a bulging tire to FIX IT.

    Sincerely,

Sending required info as discussed with KEIT on 1/12/24. It will be mailed 1/15/24.

I misstated the first #of helical piers as 11. Sorry there are 9.
