Email response I received from T.Office at pond megastore when asking about a cancellation charge which was ridiculous.
    Hello,
Yes , the same as a bank charges to cancel checks. We never get the transaction charge returned for your mistake from the credit card authorization and we have to take time to do the paperwork for your apparent carelessness. It's part of being accountable for your actions.
We don't need to waste more time making sure you read some information you choose to skip over in the haste of your actions. You, as you want to here don't care about the time or charge you cost us you only care that you don't have any responsibility in your actions. No matter if you wait 10 days or 10 seconds you are still wasting our time and that isn't a free service.
    Regards.

***** is upset because she flew through the checkout without reading the information provided on the cart page which includes a cancel order fee. She decided to cancel her order after ordering then proceeded to lament us by email and social media for the charge and now bbb. Look if you decide to order and cancel we don't get the transaction fee returned by the credit card processor. We have to respond to your emails and process a refund because you were not sure of your purchase. You get the feeling we stared and we don't need a bunch of snarky emails and comments about that. Have a nice day miss ***** **** you still have the minor fee and your waste of everyone's time is just the reason this exists. You have plenty of time to scurry through the internet so next time read the six lines of text about the agreement of sale.

Like previous reviewers, I am incredibly disappointed with this company. When I reached out to inquire about the unit for sale listed for the plant I was interested in on their website, they replied with "They are in nursery pots, not gallons. 32 per flat you can ****** the 32 cell trays." While the response was short and a bit unprofessional, I attributed it to being busy and a focus on plants, not people. We proceeded with our order.
When the plants arrived, not only did they not fill our complete order (we received 11 of 12), but they did not send the 32 per flat they stated in our previous email exchange. I took photos of what was delivered and reached out with my disappointment stating, "I placed the order for a quantity of 12 believing that I would receive 12 flats (as you noted in your response to my question.) Not only did this not arrive, but I only received 11 incredibly small withering plants.
When a customer reaches out to inquire about the products for sale and the specific unit for sale at the cost listed on your website, you should be much clearer. This was not only misleading but overpriced for what you deliver."
You can imagine my shock when the email response I received stated I was living in an alternate reality- see Pond Megastore response below:
"Mam, you are beyond creating your own reality.
The items are 32 per flat, you are buying 1 item ... so 32 would fill a flat. At no point does it state you buy flats you buy nursery mail order pots as people have for 110 years without confusing the issue.
In no possible way could anyone sell a flat of plants and ship them at the amount per 1. You are living in an alternate reality.
You want a 18 x 14 x 14 box, probably 8 lb box to ship 2 day transit to you for what you paid? That would cost $60-80 alone for shipping and a tray of plants even wholesale costs $68-140 per tray depending what you are buying wholesale in wholesale quantities before shipping."
    PROCEED with CAUTION if buying

I was looking for a lily for my pond and send this place a few questions via their email. At first they were find but after I asked a few questions about size, shipping, and planting recommendations, I got this response.
"order whatever you want - this is a waste of my time"
If you want to be treated like this, order from these guys.

1 star is over rated for this rude business. My elderly family member ordered some cat tails. With poor vision and several cancer operations he had trouble reading the fine print. After a month I decided to help him contact Pond Megastore. The phone number listed on the internet does not work. There is no mention of a phone number on their website. When I sent a message through ********, I received a rather snooty response demonstrating their lack of commitment to awesome customer service. Instead of explaining the order will ship when the weather is warmer the response was belittling and rude. The outcome of never ordering from them again is mutually acceptable.

There is absolutely no fine print, it is bold 14-font print and a full map of the USA with shipping times. You and your family bombarded our company with mean and nasty comments as if we had stolen your elder's money when they were in ******* *** **** and still experiencing lows in the 30s at night. For over 120 years, mail-order nurseries have always shipped spring plants at proper planting times. You had no right to barrage us on social media accusing us of stealing his money. You could have read our website or the confirmation emails. Of course, we immediately canceled his order and refunded the money without asking based on your crazy overreactions on social media. Now you want to complain about how we canceled you'd like order. You also told us to ****** his name because he wrote a book about ***** ***** *** ************ ** *** ***** as if we insulted a notable celebrity. Good for you that you have a shining star in your family, but in no way does that give you the right to treat people like you did. As we stated, there has been no phone number on our website since COVID-19 in 2020; there is an email address and a Contact Us button. ******* ********* ******, and many other companies retired phone numbers 20 years ago. Email documents exactly what is said in writing. Get on with the times. Phone lines, I will tell you, are using 80% for people to ask for free advice, not order questions, and are an incredible pain for small businesses. We have every right to choose email.

Worst pond plants I’ve ever received. I opted to not have any substitutions to any plant (in my order), yet they did so anyhow, with a non-comparable plant. I emailed them for a packing list on my order and zero response. All plants were planted in accordance to directions provided from company…acclimated to sunshine, pond water, etc…still dead plants after planting. Not my first merry go around with pond plants, so I can attest this company has poor plants, poor customer service, poor representation.

Absolute worst experience. I was missing a couple plants from my order but because I didn’t contact them within the 24 hours (really?) they could do nothing about it. Zac is not a very wise man because I had actually placed an order for more plants but immediately canceled on his reply about my missing plants. I will spread the word that Zac is a fraud and he knows it.

Mrs. ******* was informed on our site before shipping on the Cart page that she agreed to the listed Terms of the Sale on that page before moving to checkout which includes anything arriving in less than good condition or missing needs to be reported to us by email in 24 hours as we sell live plants and animals and too often boxes are left unattended causing decline of the plants by the customer not by us. Anything was to be reported within 24 hours. Now that is stated again on her order confirmation email, again on the shipping email, and a fourth time on the packing slip which she submitted a photo of when she made first contact TWO WEEKS after delivery. Now it also states NO EXCEPTIONS are made to this protocol as every single person who doesn't do this expects us to change the policy for them. Now consider the packing slip is marks as the items are in this box. Nothing indicates another box is coming so we are assuming she left her box unattended for two weeks with the plants and is now claiming items missing. I kindly stated that because she avoided reporting anything for two weeks , well past her 24 hours to inspect the items and make a report that we were not going to ship her more plants. She immediately flew off the handle and stated that we have so much money we should do her a solid and just give her some more plants. Which is very irritating as we are as small company. She continued to barrage us all day yesterday and threatened us with bad reviews if we did not bow to her demands which is not uncommon for people in her position. We are standing our ground and not sending her anything else as she had one obligation to simply make that connection within 24 hours, she didn't miss that by an hour or a day she waited two weeks so how can anyone assume anything other than she just never opened the box. I am glad she has all the time in the world to parade around claiming she is harmed but in reality she just needs to accept she did not fulfil the simple task of emailing us if she is being truthful at all. The evidence is the plants were all in the box, the packing slip has hand written checkmarks that all items were packed and accounted for. So this is mute, she cannot claim anything was not explained to her. I am sure whoever Mrs. ***** wants to whine to knows the kind of person she is already. We honor our Live Guarantee and only expect the curtsey of our customers making the initial contact so that we know the plants are not left on a porch or unattended. We have had 93,500+ orders in the past 17 years and have only a handful of complaints as we try and make any legitimate issue resolved and are happy to send any replacements or missing plants to customers who simply follow the reporting request.
