The company was hired by ******** to run cable down my Road. This began almost 2 wks ago. They proceeded to cut down full trees and not just clearing to run the cable, through **** ****** trimmed trees this spring/summer. When I approached the 1 field employee by my house, he got nasty with me and said if he had his way they'd all be cut down so he didn't have to deal with them. I advise that the right of way ended at the poles and he proceeded to tell me he needed room on both sides and was going to cut trees. When I said my property is from the poles back he just walked away.
I called their phone leaving a number of messages, as they do not answer and the only option is to leave a message, this went on for 4 days, I then found their website with the option to contact them.
Which I did and received a call back after stating I would be contacting not only ********, but also the Better Business Bureau. The gentlemen I talked to agreed his employee was incorrect in the way he spoke to me. A supervisor would be out by the end of the week and I would be contacted.
He also advised that a crew would be out to clean up the downed trees/limbs. Now almost a week has passed and nothing is being done, other than my neighbor hauling 2 truck loads out of my well drive and hay field.
I also asked how would his clean up crew know where to look? No response to that.
They cut down live trees of a minimum of 4" diameter and larger, and left they laying every where, also some were dropped right in the creek at the end of my property.
They need to be held responsible for the damage they have done and especially clean it up, and I do mean clean up everything, including those tree tops, etc they have left on the edges of my front yard.

Per our Project Manager, this is an active project, upon completion our work we do clean up and restore the work zones, which if Ms. ****** was patient enough, she would witness. The area in question is across the street from Ms. ******'s property, so we are not sure as to if she owns it, or if person who also approached our crew, whom lives on the same side of the road as the area in question, is the property owner. This gentleman requested us to pile up the brush, as he would dispose of it for us. After speaking with our Project Manager, who assured her we would be back to clean up the area (again, across from her property in the public Right of Way), she still felt inclined to file a complaint rather than be patient and allow time for construction to be completed and clean up to occur.

If the neighbor that requested our crews to leave the brush piles for him to dispose of has not done so, then we will follow up and remove said piles of brush. It is also our understanding that none of these brush piles are on the same side of the road as her property. We have been in contact with Ms. ****** and will continue to be until this area of the project is done, again it is still active.

    Customer Answer

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Business stated property across the street from my residence, this is not correct. It is my property and the person they spoke to a neighbor who runs cattle on my farm. The company has now contacted me twice, the last time after they rec'd the BBB complaint. Advised that a crew would be out this past week to clean up and they would call to advise the day they would be starting. Needless to say, they have not called or been out. The first time they called was prior to my contacting BBB and did advise they would be out to clean up once my road was completed. I waited 2 weeks for that to happen once they left the area. The second time as right after my initial BBB filing. When the stated they'd call, etc. I no longer believe anything they have to say. They don't even know that it was my hay field and well drive that my neighbor cleaned the brush piles up from. As they were damaging to the field and in the way on my well drive. What about the 4" and larger trees they dropped and left laying?

    Regards,
