    I initially received auto service in November due my vehicle, and received it with a warning light on that a safety system was not working. I made two subsequent attempts to have the issue addressed, and felt the owner was not being truthful. I took my vehicle to a different repair shop, and the technician there agreed that this owner A: took advantage of me and overcharged B: likely did damage to my vehicle and C: “lied to your face” regarding there being mechanical issues.

    This vehicle came in with severe noise in right front wheel and other maintenance requests . After diagnostic was performed, it was determined that the hub was bad and needed replacing. We sent and estimate to ** ***** and he approved. The issue was the vehicle was severely rusted from living in different salt belt areas. The spindle had to be replaced and we had to use torches to remove the seized parts and pics were sent to ** ***** during the process and short videos. Unfortunately we can’t control ****** parts prices and he was given written estimates that he approved before repairs were done . We did not work on the abs system and just used his old sensor in the new hub. We’re a **** Auto center and everything we do is covered by our **** Nationwide warranty and ** ***** was given this information. Im not sure what **** warranty claims said but we’ve not been contacted by them as of yet. They will directly contact us and the approved repair shop if issues or warranty claims are valid. If he used a non approved shop then unfortunately they would not cover any claims.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. I contacted **** to resolve the issue via the warranty, and they said it did not qualify unless completed by a shop 60 miles away. Another repair shop in the area was able to fix the issue, and in their opinion, the damage was caused during University Autos repairs, and they also felt University Auto was dishonest throughout the process.
