My son fell victim to a fraudulent internship offer, resulting in a loss of $1,800 from his ***** bank’s Student checking account. I humbly request your assistance in resolving this issue related to the internship scam and in recovering the $1,800. This money was not only hard-earned but also borrowed from a bank, making its recovery crucial for us.

My son uploaded his resume on ****************, a platform affiliated with ******* University. My son received an internship offer from PatientPoint

During email and chat exchanges, the company proposed sending him a $1,852.00 check for pre-training materials, with the expectation that he would then send this money to a specified vendor.

    The company issued a ********** National Bank check (#*****, Account #**********, Routing #*********) dated March 13, 2024.

My son deposited this check into his ***** bank's student checking account, and the $1,852.00 was credited on March 14, 2024. My son waited 10 days before transferring the $1,800.00 to the vendor as instructed by the company. This transfer occurred on March 25, 2024.

Unfortunately, the check was returned on April 2, 2024, 19 days later, due to being "Altered/Fictitious."

How is it that an innocent student suffers from this scam?

I humbly request your assistance in resolving this issue and recovering this transaction. I am eagerly awaiting your response. Should you require any additional information, I am more than willing to provide it.

I was offered an offer letter by the company PatientPoint. I signed that letter. They provided me a check of 1852$ to buy equipment from a vendor. I am not employed at this point. After I got the funds from the check, I sent the amount to the vendor. After I did that, the check got returned and I was personally deducted 1852$ from my bank account. I am here asking for the refund of 1852$ from the company since the check was returned.

This company is sending me unsolicited mail by *****. I am not sure how they got access to my home address, but it has have been from some professional membership website even though most professional membership websites do not pass out this information. To the best of my knowledge I have not signed up to receive any such material from this company.

They are sending me unwanted/ unsolicited patient information booklets that I do not use. I don’t even open the packet but pick it up from the porch and leave it in the recycle bin.

This is wrong on many fronts: in addition to sending unsolicited mail, and littering, they are responsible for contributing to the destruction of the environment by using a lot of paper to print out material that is not useful to the intended end user. I see a lot of their booklets lying around in many offices- when speaking with patients, most providers have good information available on the hospital websites- this junk mail does not come to mind as the first line for patient information- that is the sad truth!

I want them to take me off their mailing lists with immediate effect- I have written to them on 3 occasions before but it has not had any response. The leadership of the company needs to be informed of their unprofessional behavior
