Our experience with Queen City DJs, booked as a preferred vendor for our wedding venue, was ultimately disappointing. While our initial consultation with Brad, the owner, was positive, significant issues arose on our wedding day despite using the **** app to clearly communicate our schedule, music choices, and specific details well in advance. The first issue happened at the start of our wedding. We had asked for a 2:15 pm ceremony start time and communicated this to our DJ, venue, and coordinator. However, on the day, our coordinator informed us that Brad said he would not start before 2:30 pm, claiming that was the scheduled time and he hadn’t been paid for earlier. This contradicted our contract, which covered him from 2 pm to 8 pm, causing confusion and frustration. Due to this we settled on 2:30 and took more photos. Another disappointment involved our aisle music—a custom ****** ****** melody with a specific part meant for my entrance at 3 minutes and 45 seconds. We shared these instructions three months prior in ****, yet on the day, the song played, and I was sent down the aisle prematurely. Brad blamed the venue and coordinator, though they said he gave the queue. Brad says he should have jumped to that section of the song but feels he did not make a mistake because he played the correct song and that we didn’t follow norms of having separate songs for the processional. Finally, during reception speeches, guests reported that Brad made an inappropriate comment, telling them to “hold the microphone like you’re giving a **** ***.” This was unprofessional and left multiple guests uncomfortable. Brad denied making the comment, though multiple people reported it. Despite his handling of last-minute song requests from us, these major issues and Brad’s lack of accountability left us disappointed on our big day. We share this review so other couples can avoid a similar experience and ensure they have the wedding they dreamed of.

Hi ***** and ********, Thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this, especially based on secondhand information. Speaking with you both the night of the wedding, it seemed like you both had a great evening. I will address each of your issues line by line. Event Start Time: Your contract (attached) was for 2pm to 8pm and the attached timeline from Eleyna was the overall event timeline. This was my understanding of the timeline when we met for the wedding consultation prior to the weeding. We went over all of the information you had filled out at that time and the timeline Elenya provided me (attached). My understanding (and the venues understanding) was the event started at 2pm and the ceremony started at 2:30. As guests were arriving to the event, your wedding planner stated to Eleyna and me that she wanted everything to at 2pm that was the first I was aware of this change (same with the venue). Elenya and I told your wedding planner that the ceremony was supposed to start at 2:30 based on the timeline we had been provided. Per our contract, music and timelines should be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event. This provides us the time needed to organize the requests and obtain special versions of songs, if needed, to make sure everything runs smoothly. You didnt submit the music requests until 4 days prior to your event, so this meant I was preparing at the last minute. I will accommodate last minute changes as best we can, and I believe we did. My equipment produces timestamps of the music. I have attached that record, and you will find that I started prelude music early around 1:44pm for your early guest arrival. This was fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled start time. The first and only processional song of your wedding ceremony started at 2:23pm. This is when the bridal party arrived upstairs in line and ready to go. I did not say anything to anyone about not getting paid for this time and you can see I started fifteen minutes early. At this time, I was also getting ****** set up with his microphone and sound check. I believe his wife or girlfriend was even videotaping this as well. I was also setting up your four speakers with the wireless microphone and going over the script with them on how to use the microphone. Ceremony Entrance Song: There was only one song provided for everyone to walk into. Typically, we have separate songs for the parents, bridal party, and bride. In **** the same song was listed for all three. I started the song when everyone started to walk in. The wedding planner told me she was going to open the doors for ********, so I took it as ******** was not going to start her walk in until the 3:45 point of the song. Doors were opened before that. I will take full responsibility for not jumping the song at the correct point when ******** started walking in and not having a better communication with your wedding planner. Speaker Communication: I hold the upmost professionalism, and I would have never said anything like this to anyone. I use the same script for anyone I am showing how to use a microphone for speeches. I tell the speakers to hold the microphone in the middle and not cover the antenna at the bottom as well as to hold the microphone close to their mouth so people can hear them. I have been in this business for over 30 years and have done hundreds of weddings and I always use the same script. I have never had a complaint, or anyone say anything like this. Im actually appalled that someone would say that I said something like this. I am not sure how or why one of your speakers took what I said the wrong way, but I can assure you that I did not and would never say anything like what you stated in your email. You can ask your wedding speakers, other bridal party members, and both of your dads- I said the same script to them. Censored Music: You are correct that the music was radio edited. The playlist attached will show you that yes, we play radio edited clean music. This is what we do as company unless specifically requested to play non-censored versions. Music requests were submitted the week of the wedding and not at least 14 days prior to the event per the contract, and there was nothing requesting non-censored music. This when Vibo locked you out. Queen City DJ's will attempt to include requested music in the programming but will not be responsible if specific song selections are unavailable. I believe I covered all of the concerns from your email. I believe much of this could have been avoided if the information was provided at the time of the wedding consultation, rather than four days prior to the wedding. Again, I do take responsibility for not playing the entrance song at the correct point. I do apologize for this inconvenience. *************************************************** City ******** ************ ******************************* ****************************** Time Line from Venue.
