In early October, we hired Gary again. During his visit to our home, part of his work involved providing quotes for a few projects, which we paid him an hourly rate to complete. Unfortunately, we never received the quotes.
After about six weeks of Gary ignoring my husband’s texts inquiring about the quotes, I called him directly to follow up. He assured me we would receive them the next day, but they never arrived. Over the following six weeks, despite multiple attempts by both my husband and me to reach out, Gary continued to ignore our messages. He literally never responded in any way — no texts, emails, phone calls. Finally, my husband requested a refund for the time Gary spent quoting the projects, since the work was never delivered. Gary immediately called my husband, refused to issue a refund, and informed us that he was “choosing not to work with us.”
I understand that issues can arise, and we were willing to be patient, as shown by our repeated, respectful requests for the quotes. However, 3.5 months of follow-ups for quotes we paid for is unacceptable, especially given Gary’s dismissive attitude when he essentially “dropped” us as clients for his own shortcomings.
Throughout this process, we politely and repeatedly requested the quotes, but they were never provided. It’s clear that Gary failed to follow through, and rather than taking responsibility for his actions, he weirdly and rudely shifted blame onto his customers. His lack of professionalism, respect, and courtesy is deeply disappointing. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend his services to anyone.

As stated in the phone call, you were not charged for the estimate. Our company gives free estimates. You were charged for the work that was completed on that day ($69 service call fee plus 1.5 hours of work at $105/hr = $226.50). We disconnected a switch to fix the issue you were having with your light, per your request. You stated that you did not want to spend any additional money to replace the damaged wire running from switch to switch. I apologize for not sending quotes for future work.
