    A lag screw fell out of the ceiling holder. I called Precision to get a repair. The tech, John, came out and launched into a discussion of my rollers being average. There is nothing wrong with the rollers. He then decided that my springs needed to be replaced. I told him I wanted him to repair the screw that had fallen out in the holder on the ceiling. He refused. The options he presented me ranged in price from $1,050 to $3,600 (to have everything replaced). My door and parts are relatively new - about 3 years old. I paid the $145 service fee to come out but would like to have it refunded because the tech tried to cheat, scam me. I have since had a man friend look at the door and he said there was nothing wrong, aside from the screw which he repaired. I am actually disappointed that the BBB has given this company an A rating. These people are crooks - John tried to talk me into spending $3,600 for no reason other than to enrich the company. I also earlier filed a review.

    technicians are trained to perform a complete 25-Point Safety Inspection before
    any repairs—an important part of our process that we mention on our website and
    in other reviews. The technicians then offer their best recommendation based on
    safety, cost-effectiveness, and value to each individual customer. Our process
    includes the inspection because your garage door has many moving parts. Again, we are deeply sorry you're unsatisfied with your service and have refunded the service fee.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ******** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me - I did receive the refund. While their statement sounds good, I do not believe a word of it. I have never had a repairman out to my house that so blatantly tried to cheat me. But I did learn that I should never pay a service fee for this awful behavior. I'm a senior citizen and at least I learned not to pay - just order anyone like this to leave!
