    Dan potter put new roof on 11/29/23.Paid in full .Everything looks fine . Fast forward to first rain / wind storm roof leaks 1/9/24. Contacted Dan immediately 1/9/23. Came out 2x could figure it out . More damage was being done to property from roof not being done right . 2/1/24 had visual inspection done by new contractor. Let Dan know everything that needed to be done . ( complete tear off and redo ) .asked Dan for his insurance business insurance info . Refused to give that info to us. Still has not fixed problem. 2/12/24 had roof redone by new contractor to stop further damage . Everything has been documented. Before after pics . Statements from both contractors. Pictures.We would like repayment of money we had to pay to fix the job he did and damages from it .

    Dan Potter.  We got a call from the client ****** *******, ***** *******, but they are using a different name now.  Already being dishonest, but I went looked at said roof.  It was terrible, it was extremely rotten.  So they wanted me to do it after I gave them a estimate.  Next day I came over told them I couldn't give them a warranty.  I couldn't and I showed him where his main house roof was leaking it has green moss on it and I told them their house house needed a new roof and gutters.  I gave them no warranty because their main house roof was in terrible condition same as the sunroof.  They still signed the contract and we proceeded I told ***** since the main house roof was leaking right by where we butted up our sunroof to the main roof that water could still get in without the whole roof was replaced.  Our wood butted up to the main roof.  We have the contract with no warranty and it was explained to them, why.  Had no issues even after showing ***** where the main house has moss turned green because water was getting in.  We finished the roof no leaks when we left.  I get a call the window has some water coming down on it.  I went right over to look at it I geocelled the roof and gutters, the roof wasn't leaking it was the gutters which I geocelled the gutters the skylights even tho ***** said the skylight weren't leaking at all that's because none of the sunroof was leaking after using the roof caulk not even a hour later she texted me thank you for coming so quickly and the geocell worked all good.  I sent you a picture of the text.  About 3-4 weeks later it was supposedly leaking so I called them the next day I was going by their house so I called and with it raining and snowing we couldn't get on it due to safety so we went and put tarps on the roof told them id be back when the rain stopped.  Got a call from ****** saying they removed them because it looked white trash, yet your roof is leaking every roofing company uses tarps.  So there is one dishonest statement it wasn't leaking they were trying to get money because they couldn't afford a whole new main house roof.  So they had a friend who supposedly went up there saying the wood didn't but up but it absolutely did.  I have more pictures but it would only let me choose so many.  He is the one that did the fake contract.  So I called them to come over they were not home, understood that so I called back a couple days later and they were out of town, remember your roof is supposedly leaking but you took tarps off, you aren't home for me to come over.  I always came when they called me so us not showing up is another dishonesty.  Friend is in on the scam with them.  He is not a licensed roofer no matter what he says or they say.  So I get a call a few days later after they got back in town.  ***** said Dan we are back when do you want to come over I said I'll come first thing in the morning, he called and it was already dark so I said I the morning.  He was happy I was coming over I asked him if he had a water spicket by the sunroof we replaced he said yes I do why did you ask i said im going to perform all roifing companies water test i explained to him you take a hose and little by little you run water on each part of the roof so if its leaking so it shows me and them where the water was coming in if there was any i then said if it wasn't leaking from the roof we did id do the entire main roof so we all knew where it was leaking he said can i call you right back i have a important call coming in.  I said sure.  They don't call me back instead of calling me saying they don't want me to do the test because it would of showed it was leaking from the main house roof which I already told him.  Nobody whose roof was leaking wouldn't say no unless the roof we put on wasn't leaking.  Contract was void when she left her friend tearing into the roof.  Only way to see the wood it to tear of shingles and felt paper was to tear off shingles.  She lied and said it was a visual inspection but you can see where the wood ran up with our tearing into it unless he had superman x ray vision.  Been doing this for 35 years never a complaint she wanted us to come back and concrete her driveway.  She hasn't told the truth on anything.  Then while we were dealing with this she lied and committed slander and went all over writing lies to hurt our business I have all the posts she left about us.  She needs to worried about us using her which our lawyer is going to file charges for slander, lost of work having to deal with this.  He says everything I messaged him with her using our name and company name is slander and liable and we will win on top of her lying about our company.  That roof didn't leak.  Her friend is part of this they have been friends their whole life and supposedly a roofer of 45 years then why didn't she have him do it.  And I'll be sending more pictures been by their house.  So we know.  And when I get the picture.  It's the same roof on it nobody put another one on.  I'll send that when we take the picture.  She's getting sued and won't win.  And our lawyer says don't give her anything till we get to court.  I have more texts and more pictures I want to send but it won't let me I can't add anymore.  I'll try to send more.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

    Sorry for the delay in responding after reading the response from owner we honestly don’t know what to say. I’ve been sick to my stomach with how he has handled this . Which basically he hasn’t at all. And treating the customers (us ) like we are the criminals and that we did something wrong. I took a couple days to decide is this worth what it is doing to us mentally. We know we will never get our money back . And we’ve accepted that he does not care at all about us . And every single thing he has said he has made up . We just hope he doesn’t do this to anyone else . I’ve included the paperwork from the company who redid his work.
