    I contacted ***** and specifically requested a chimney cleaning. He scheduled me for a cleaning and inspection. The day of my scheduled visit, his step-daughter canceled last minute and rescheduled me for 3 weeks later. When she finally came to complete the scheduled cleaning, she only “swept” the fireplace and told me it was not possible to “clean” the fireplace (notwithstanding the creosote cleaning I received during the initial inspection when I purchased the house 16 months ago). She also called ***** to come double check her inspection. ***** then gave me a lengthy list of repairs that were not noted on the independent inspection I had completed when I purchased the house (which included a camera inspection), on the Shaker Heights POS inspection, or by ******** when I had lengthy repairs and a liner installed less than one year ago. I expressed my dissatisfaction in that ***** did not deliver the cleaning I had requested and also that it appeared he was attempting to create issues to get me to pay for additional unnecessary work. I wrote ***** a check and asked him to leave. After having ***** leave, I contact the prior inspector and ******** to have the fireplace reinspected. As expected, neither inspection revealed ANY of the issues that ***** noted and neither inspector "failed" the fireplace or said it was unsafe to use.

    The business has stated that the check the customer gave was never deposited into their account. The will not cash it and consider the matter resolved.
