    On 4 December 2024, I purchased 2 tires that came with a mail-in rebate offer of $100. On 5 December 2024 I submitted the rebate information online. While doing so, the site would not allow me to upload the necessary documents, so I called the customer service department for help, but they were closed. I then chatted with a live customer service agent who said I could email all required documents in; I have a transcript of that chat. After submitting online I received a tracking number and included that in the email I sent with the documents. I then heard nothing from anyone, not even a spam-folder email or phone call. I did check the online site once a month during this time to see my rebate-submission status, and it always said "Processing." As a matter of fact, today the site still says it is "Processing". After waiting 3 months, I called the customer service department on 13 March 2025 to understand the delay and was told to resend the email with all my documents again and then call back in 5 business days. I resent the email that day. I then called on 21 March 2025 and was told that they never received any of my documents and it was also now outside the window where the rebates were being granted so I was not going to get my $100 rebate. I explained that I'd emailed twice, including back in December, and reconfirmed for the 3rd time that I had sent the documents to the right email, but they said there is nothing they can do now. I asked for my case to be escalated and it was to their "Records Review" department and I was told to call back in 10 business days. I called on 4 April 2025 and was told the Records department said I never sent the documents and it was now outside the rebate-offer window so there was nothing I could do. I went above and beyond, including by sending more documents than requested multiple times. The fact that the rebate status even today still says "processing" on their site combined with their behavior makes me feel like this is a scam.

    Hey ****** this is ****** ******** You called me last week regarding my Better Business Bureau claim on a tire rebate. You asked me to let you know if this has been resolved. It has been resolved. I took matters into my own hands and just went right to or back to the dealership that gave me the rebate and made ******** reimburse me. So the Better Business Bureau claim was filed against a separate organization who was supposed to give me the actual rebate. They never did, so I went to Mercedes, and Mercedes made it right.
