I purchased Norton Device Care insurance in 2022, that is issued via Northcoast Warranty services, and I began receiving a $4.19 monthly charge which I agreed to. January 15, 2023, I contacted Norton to cancel that Device Care service and they confirmed it was cancelled effective 3/15/23 and I would no longer be charged. However that charge continued on my credit card 3/25/23. I then contacted my credit card company and they issued a fraud notice and refunded my money and changed my credit card number. I also then completely cancelled my Norton Security service on 3/26/23 and have no subscription with them any longer.

However, Northcoast somehow got my new credit card number (I never gave it to them) and they are continuing to charge me 3 months later. My credit card now issued a Stop Payment alert to hopefully prevent this from happening again. Northcoast appears to be a scan endorsed by Norton Security.

Thank you so much for making us aware of this complaint and for providing us with an opportunity to respond.  When we investigated the matter it was determined that the cancellation request was not directed to the correct department.  As a result, the plan was still active and the card on file was being charged for the monthly subscription payments.  The Norton Device Care Plan has now been fully cancelled and a refund of all charges, that were posted to the complainant’s credit card post January 15, 2023, has been credited to the credit card on file.  The complainant was contacted directly in regards to this complaint and the issue has been resolved.

    Thank you,
