    I hired College Hunks Hauling Junk because I wanted to ensure that my two authentic, Mid-Century Modern dressers would be moved safely and securely. College Hunks sent two guys to my old residence on January 31, 2024. Both men failed to take any precautions necessary to ensure that my belongings were handled in a safe manner. As a result, they critically damaged both irreplaceable dressers in the move. They only informed me of the damage done to one dresser. They completely removed/broke the back leg of the dresser then hastily tried to repair it with screws, further damaging the item. During the move in, they continually placed items on top of the other dresser and positioned my belongings in a way to block visibility from the top corner. I thought this odd at the time, especially because I stressed the importance of keeping my furniture pristine but I did not investigate until after they had left. Unbelievably, they were concealing the damage they had done to the other dresser. Immediately after discovering all of the damage, I filed a claim on their website. I was contacted by the Cleveland franchise owner, Daniel Loughbridge, via his personal cell. He made it seem like he was going to address the matter through their insurance. I contacted a local MCM furniture repair shop to provide a quote and invoice for the two items. On Friday, Feb 16, I sent the invoice to Dan and stressed that he reply stating that he received the invoice. He did. Since that date, I have followed up via text and call to Dan several times with no response. I have contacted the College Hunks main business line and each time they've assured me that someone from the local Cleveland office would follow up. That has yet to happen. I pressed that they provide me with the local Cleveland office's phone number or email and they said they cannot. The amount to repair the two dressers is $1500. I need help seeing this matter resolved. I will proceed to take this to small claims court if I have to.

    On July 6, I contacted the company to clear out my mother's house. On July 8, I notified them my brother had made and paid for other arrangements and to cancel the July 12 service date. On July 10, I asked when my charge card would be refunded the $100.00 and was told it would take "7 - 10 business days". I contacted them on July 27 and didn't receive a response. I contacted them again this morning and response is noted on attachment.
