    Can you please look into matter my account-17687814
    i spoke with rep-******* ******* several times to try get issue resolved.
    I sent information that monies from Bankruptcy were not counted for this account 02-02-2023
    I spoke with State rep that says i only paid $155
    Furthermore, beside $782 not counted. Additional, payment was made on your website $2095(02-14-2023) funds have not been
    released to Attorney General. I was told waiting for funds to clear??? This payment was made with Credit Card not check.
    Finally, my federal refund has been offset $4631, funds not released. In total paid $7508 for debt $6346.
    I was told by your rep-******* that resolution takes time. I been charged interest everyday which if table were turned is not fair to me
    ******* agreed that over paid for this account said she ask if your agency will issue check or state will issue.
    I will be filing Better Business Bureau complaint for excessive wait/unethical practices. Next Ohio Bar Association. Please look into matter. Thanks

    I am one of the attorney with Douglass & Associates.  Our office serves as a Special Counsel to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.  As you can see from reading the complaint, the issues raised by *** ************ relate application of payments from her personal bankruptcy filing and her federal tax refund toward debt to the State of Ohio.  She also made a direct payment by credit card through our website which resulted in the overpayment.  As of this writing, all of the different payments have been posted to her account and she will be receiving a refund from the State of Ohio.  All of these payments were either received or posted within a short time frame which ultimately resulted in the overpayment.  I have been in regular contact with *** ************ to advise her of the status of the refund, which will be issued to our office from the State of Ohio, and then our firm will issue a refund to *** ************ directly as her direct payment through our office was ultimately the source of the overpaid funds.

    I am also concerned that the complaint contains personal identifiers that should not be made public.  For *** ************'s protection I would hope that information would be redacted.

    I have also asked *** ************ to withdraw the complaint once she receives her refund from our office; this has not happened yet only because the State of Ohio has not yet issued the refund to our office for processing.

    I have attached a copy of email communciations between me and *** ************.
