      STG electric sent out **** ** for a pre installation walk through of an EV Charger and we went over the available options for installation. Since this was a new electrical panel and all circuit breakers were assigned and the panel was maxed out, **** gave me two options, either of which were fine by me. One was to insert a tandem breaker dedicated to the EV within the panel. The second option was to add on a sub-panel with a dedicated circuit breaker for the electric vehicle. There was never any mention of doubling up or, “Double Tapping” any existing circuit breakers, let alone doing anything to the existing connections. Obviously, I was okay with this since my home builder has set up the electrical panel the way they did for a reason and it was not to be messed with due to circuit-load configuration. A week later, STG sent out ******** L. to perform the installation. This is where everything went south quickly. Instead of either of the two options discussed, ******** decided to rip out the bottom two circuit breakers in my panel, overload them onto each other and then jammed in a new circuit breaker for the electric vehicle. The following morning, we started to trip circuit breakers and couldn’t even use the lights or exhaust fans in any of our bathrooms because ******** had overloaded or “Double-Tapped” these circuit breakers and tied every bathroom and the upstairs hallway onto the same circuit breaker. It was extremely frustrating that STG had essentially a blank-check to perform this task, they did not perform either agreed upon method of installation and did something totally different. They did something that the company who fixed their work called “Lazy, cheap, unsafe and against electrical code.” I would never use or recommend STG Electric because of the damage they did to my home and the fact that they lied and called it a "Difference of Opinion."
