Date of beginning of transitions 1/17/25 -4/14/25 I unfortunately took my 2010 ****** Maxima to this business and paid them a total of $1116.77 to fix my car that wasnt running properly. The told me it was a crank shaft and starter that needed replaced , after paying them to do this and received the car back the next day the car broke down again . I was then told it was the alternator , they then replaced this at a discount price after I explained this was their mistake. Again after getting car back from them again the car broke down on the side of the road. I decided I didnt feel comfortable taking my car back to this business so I saved up money and took it to another business , I was made aware that the previous business ( All In Auto Service LLC) had blown the computer in the car when they replaced the alternator and was also made aware that it was installed wrong. When reaching out to the business I received no response. .i am seeking a full refund plus the cost I had to pay the new business ($380) plus cost the car is worth in its condition ($2200.00) due to them ruining the computer. I was advised to replace that would be more than the car is worth. Im requesting $ ******* . Im willing to file a smalls claims in court againt All In Auto Service LLC.

Hello this is **** **** owner of All In Auto Service LLC. I have read the complaint about the work we have done and the claimed issues we created. First, I would like to talk about the issues with the car when it came to us. The customer ******* ***** had an issue with the battery light coming on and vehicle stalling out. The vehicle would only have a battery light come on while the vehicle was driving, not running at a stop. Battery and charging system tests are performed with the vehicle inside the shop not in motion which made this issue difficult to recreate. The vehicle passed the alternator test and failed the battery test. The starter did also pass but we would intermittently have issues with it not engaging and making noise. The customer had a warranty on the starter with a local parts store, so we removed it, customer had it warrantied and then we re-installed it. Customer also approved a battery replacement with us since it tested bad. We did not recommend and alternator at that time because we could not confirm it was bad at this time. ****** vehicles have a known issue with crankshaft sensor failing causing engine to stall out. I spoke with the customer about this known issue and suggested to replace the sensor since it was original to the vehicle with 171k miles. These repairs where completed on 1/17/25.

1/28/25 the customer was still having issues with the battery light coming on, so we asked to bring it back and we performed a free diagnostic and proceeded with replacing the alternator with the customers approval at a 50% discount. While replacing the alternator we would find the entire case of the alternator to be cracked and also the electrical plug going to the alternator to be damaged. This was unable to be detected on the first visit because of the location of the alternator on the engine. It sits low in the engine bay and up against the radiator fan shroud, to see this damage required removal of the alternator. All this was well documented in our inspection and relayed to the customer. After replacing the alternator and electrical connector the vehicle no longer had a battery light on and ran/drove as intended. We then released the vehicle to the customer.

In regard to the claimed issues we created by another shop that is not listed, I do not see how that would be possible. If we installed the alternator wrong and fried the vehicles computer, it never would have left our shop. An electrical component is something that either works or does not. It is not like brakes that gradually wear out, if we fried the computer, it would have happened immediately at our shop. The vehicle left our shop with the customer running and driving.

That was the last we heard from the customer until now, I see no text messages in our system saying there was still issues and I do not recall a phone call about us not reaching back out. We are also still in the same location and the customer would have been welcome to come by and let us know there is still an issue. We have a 3yr/36k mile parts and labor warranty that we stand behind, our customers are important to us.

[If you do not say why you are rejecting the company's response, BBB must close your complaint.]

    Complaint: 23284596

I am rejecting this response because:
In response to what the company has said .
I would like to start off by saying it doesn't seem that they have their "story" correct.  I did not purchase a battery from them . The same battery was put back in my car and was not even secured in . **** stated in his response that while the car was parked and running in his care that the  battery light never came on and then later in his statement he said there was no battery light on when he returned my car to me  but how would he be able to say he fixed my car if he never witnessed the light(s) being on in the first place, and he failed to mention that it was all of my dash lights that were on and he is only speaking on the battery light.  It seems to me that the company is not understanding that they had me pay for multiple things that they said would fix my car and it did not fix the issue .I sent two messages to this company after receiving my car back the second time and didn't get a response . I will attach this text thread .  I would not feel comfortable taking  my car back to this company even with their warranty when I believe they scammed me out of a lot of money and ruined my car.
They had stated in the response to my BB claim that the light was coming back on but failed to state the car stopped driving as well and they then replaced the alternator at a discounted price per my request because I didn't feel like I should pay full price due to their  neglect and even after this the car still wasn't fixed.   I drove the car home and parked it bc the lights were coming back on again! The car stayed parked after this until I could get it to someone else to look at it. I first took it to a place that does oil changes  to see if what I was seeing under the hood with the battery not being secured was normal . I was advised it was not  and to definitely take it to a shop . At this point the car was driving but lights were still coming up and the car had hesitation. Did it drive away yes it did and then was stranded on the side of the road in a very dangerous spot waiting on a tow truck . The exact same issue I brought the car to this company for has now broke down once again !
This company has cost me a-lot of money by their bad labor. The amount of stress this whole situation has caused me hasn't even been factored into the amount I believe this company owes me.
    Regards,

    ******* *****
