    Hello,I recently looked into financing through the RimTyme store at the Whitehall location. I had placed a deposit of $102.99 for a set of rims and tires on a Friday with notification that I would have an install the following Monday. Unfortunately the staff continued to tell me there were delays in shipping that pushed the install date back. I called finally weeks later to find the parts werent even ordered. Because I was driving on a spare tire after a flat, I did need the install relatively quickly. I placed the deposit under the guise that this would occur in a reasonable time frame. I have since had to cancel the arrangement because of not receiving the products. It was told to me at that point the deposits are non-refundable. I am unsure of this policy because no agreement receipt or information was given to me although I had previously asked for this and was given only a till receipt. Normally I would understand and accept the fact that I would lose the deposit if the order were underway. However, I do believe it is relatively unfair to hold a deposit and then not fulfill on the product with no timeframe for completion. It gives the impression that the merchant was making money off the agreements with no intention to fulfill, leaving the customer with no choice.Generally my other experiences with RAC and their tele staff have been great. This has just been a one off situation. As you can understand, I was very uncomfortable at the prospect of making payments on a product that I did not have and cancelled the agreement to avoid any further loss. Please let me know if there are any options available to receive the funds back or at the minimum use the balance for the payment plans at ***.

    We would like to offer an apology to the Mr. ****** for this unfortunate misunderstanding.  The charge of $102.99 has been refunded to his credit card. Additionally, in an effort to maintain an ongoing business relationship with Mr. ******* we wish to extend a $100.00 credit redeemable on any future purchase he chooses to make with RIMTYME.  We again apologize for this unfortunate experience.  We will utilize more effective training practices in the future.
