Staff and MD's were good. Billing Department staff were worthless, refused to resubmit claim to Medicare after Medicare corrected an error in their system. "We don't resubmit claims"

I wish I read reviews before having my colonoscopy performed at the Olentangy location. I am 35 years old and got a colonoscopy due to symptoms. The doctors/nurses basically refused to discuss anything with me regarding my procedure. Right after I woke up, I asked if there would be a follow up appointment. They said I would receive a call. I never received a call but a month later I got a letter with concerning results that I would obviously not fully understand since I'm not an MD. When I called to speak with someone to ask questions I was told "they don't call people". I told the nurse I had some concerns since I am younger, and she once again said "this is our process. we send the letter, we don't talk to people". OK, so it is clearly your process to NOT show an ounce of compassion or care to your patients, but I am clearly calling with concern and EVEN THEN, you aren't willing to have someone speak to me about my concerns? I have received more compassion from a hair stylist! These are important results. I shouldn't have to google what my results mean after paying thousands of dollars. I'm appalled to say the least.

Be warned - this is a dangerously incompetent provider. They pumped so much air into my colon I was doubled up with cramps for about 12 hrs afterwards, and the high-pressure bloating and explosive gas lasted for 24. I've had 4 colonoscopies at *** **** and never experienced that. I'm just thankful they didn't rupture my colon!!
Also the "nurse" who inserted my IV tortured me for what seemed like an eternity before she got it placed, even though I kept telling her how much it hurt. Later when I took the bandage off, the gauze was soaked with blood, the whole area was bruised and I counted 8 holes! 4 were especially large and dark, probably from where she was digging around in my flesh trying to snag a vein.
If a doctor ever tries to refer me to this office again, I'll get a new doctor

I had a disappointing experience at Ohio Gastro. I was initially scheduled in time slot that was not long enough for both my procedures. I didn't find this out until after I had worked out and submitted the time off from my employer. Upon arrival for my procedures, I had to wait almost an hour without any explanation before I was even roomed. It was finally explained to me that the system was down and that is what caused the delays. I then had to wait even longer once I was changed and had the IV. I was told that due to the problems, someone else was going to do my procedures and I had to sign all the forms. Then the doctor I was originally scheduled with came in and said he was going to do it and I had to resign everything for him. There were also billing issues from this as I was on the left on the wrong doctors schedule and everything had to be resubmitted.
After waking up, I was given the initial results and I was told that they found stomach polyps but that they did not remove them, that I had to schedule a second EGD to have this done elsewhere. I strongly feel that this was not done during the first procedure at their facility because of how far behind they were from all the computer problems and disruption it caused and it was easier to just pass me off. I had to then schedule at MCE hospital where my second EGD cost me over $1000 after insurance.
