Me and wife went under contract for a home from m\i with the plans of selling our primary residence. My wife received a job offer that paid more so she asked our loan officer ******* ***** if it was ok to change jobs so he said yes it's ok, as long as you make the same amount or more. Come to find out, after we are under contract to sell our existing home m/I financial contacts us and says that we do not qualify because of my wife's pay structure and job change. My wife asked loan officer ******* ***** twice what was required of her to stay eligible for the home loan and all he said was amount of pay and to make sure to have an offer letter. The whole time he never told her that her pay structure would disqualify us for a loan. Now since we are under contract to sell our home we can't back out and we are going to have to stay at a hotel or find housing because of the unprofessional actions of m/I financial. I believe it was his job to correctly explain the requirements of the job change. The man quit a couple of months ago and the transition was botched completely. We do not know what we are going to do now. All they do is apologize but still say they can't do anything. We have showed the communication from ******* ***** and my wife where he clearly does not explain what is required correctly. I believe someone should be held accountable for us being stuck out of our dream home we customized and for being almost on the streets. There was a lot of confusion from the existing loan officers. They were claiming that they didn't know my wife was under commission on her pay structure even though it says clearly pay structure on the stubs that she's been sending. They said that they never looked because it said salary on the offer letter to try to make an excuse. Even though if they would have done just a little more work, Even a couple seconds of due diligence. These guys are just phoning it in. Both loan officers have said that they didn't know.

******* ******* is still working with M/I Financials' (MIF) MLO and branch manager and
staff to resolve the issue. The borrower requested to add additional parties
to the loan file to meet the qualifying factors.  Therefore, at this time, the
bases of the complaint are non-factual.

I made a $2,643.50 payment on their website on 11/29/22. The payment was for the Loan payment due date of December 2022. I have reached out over the last two weeks to Mi Financial times regarding why the payment was not applied to my account and have received no response. I am concerned that someone in their organization has committed fraud, by not posting the funds withdrawn from my account to my loan. Please help
