    On Monday May 6th 2024 me and my boyfriend stay the night at the homestead motel. My boyfriend left for work on Tuesday May 7th and I checked out after. I returned the key and the guy working the front desk told me he was too tired to check my room right now, so I would have to come back later on that day and he would give me my deposit back. I understand it was early, but that was extremely unprofessional, however, me and my boyfriend did plan to come back later that day anyway and rent another room so I told him that I would be back later anyway and clarified "so you'll give me my deposit back later today when I come back" to which he replied "yes I'll check your room later and when you come back I'll return your deposit" his tone was very rude but I took his word nonetheless since so far I had never had a problem at this place. Me and my boyfriend came back later that day and I asked about my $10 deposit, he refused to give it to me and was talking as if he already gave it to me when I gave him the key, which usually they do, but I reminded him that when I gave him the key this morning he told me he was not going to check my room because it was too early and he was too tired so he specifically told me to come back later and get my deposit. He continued to lie in front of the other lady there as well when she came out. No resolution was reached, they were very rude, and that guy lied to my face knowing that he did not give me my money back. Most of the time there is a different man and woman there and they know us very well because they are usually the ones working the desk when me and my boyfriend come in, they know we stay there a lot and are faithful returning customers, they are usually the ones we deal with and we've never had a problem, the other guy which is the one we had the problem with, has checked us in a few times before and has always been rude but there has never been any altercation until now. I want my deposit back and the owners to be made aware

    5.20.24 **** ***** of business called BBB. He stated he called the consumer and gave her the $10 deposit back.
