I signed up for the too blessed to be stressed package where they debit a monthly fee ahead of services for a discounted rate on services provided. After three manicures at this salon I had issues with chipping and peeling back of gel nails- which shouldnt do this within a week of application- I contacted customer service about cancelling and getting a refund for October. They refused a refund for service completely unused for October and told me to return to the salon to spend more of my time getting my nails fixed. They peeled and chipped three times in a row- no need for me to try and get them fixed it will just happen again. I contacted them last Friday to cancel- still no cancellation confirmation has been sent and no refund received. The service they are selling people is not what is promised. Regular nail polish lasts longer on my nails the their gel manicures!Business Response

I’ve always had a great experience with The W Nail Bar until today, 9/17/23. I had an appointment scheduled to have gel removal on my fingernails and toes with a gel mani with level 2 nail art and just the basic pedi. Well, I decided the day of my appointment to get only gel removal and not have gel put back on my fingers and toes. So, as the nail tech is doing my gel mani, she doesn’t say a word to me that I would still be charged for all those services I wasn’t getting now. She just made conversation about her cats and her life. Then, I wait around after and they eventually get me in for my appointment to have the gel removed on my toes. This was a different nail tech who took the gel off my toes. NEITHER nail tech said a WORD about being charged for the services I decided not to get. So, this was two different nail techs who worked with me and neither said a WORD about still being charged for full services I was going to receive after all. It wasn’t until I get to the check-out counter to pay that the nail tech who took the gel off my toes, tells me I was still going to be charged for ALL services I booked even though all I got was gel removal. They charged me $137 to have gel taken off my fingers and toes and said it was their cancellation policy. I would’ve absolutely just gotten all the services I originally had scheduled done if one of the nail techs would’ve warned me I was still going to be charged full price regardless of what I got. And then one of the nail techs (the girl who took the gel off my fingernails) lied and said she had warned me that I was going to be charged regardless. Don’t you think I would’ve just agreed to get the services done if she would’ve told me this? I was there at the salon for the entire time it would’ve taken to get the original scheduled services done, and I ended up having to pay $137 for a simple fingers and toes gel removal. I would have just gotten my originally scheduled services had I known I was going to have to pay for it all still.Initial Complaint

I had an appointment scheduled. It was the wrong day. I received a cancellation email. They told me in person all was fine. I canceled the appointment within 10 minutes of making it. They just charged for an appointment I never had. I called and the lady on the phone didn’t do anything to help meBusiness Response

I booked an appointment with The W Nail Bar. When I originally booked I had booked for nail strengthening, level 3 nail art , cloud 9 pedicure, and the dew effect manicure along with take off of gel nail polish for my hands and feet. I had called the salon about a day after booking changing my service to gel x extensions and taking off the nail strengthening and keeping everything else.
When I had arrived early to my appointment the nail person approached me saying she had to down grade my pedicure due to me booking wrong . I told her no that it was not my fault that the receptionist must have booked wrong. The manager came over and this is where it had all started. She came over and we agreed I would do the level 2 nail art instead of 3 . I reluctantly said okay. During my appointment the girls at the salon were talking about what I looked like , laughing and making snark remarks. I have a medically issue I would rather not disclose but they were making fun of me for it. The manager took part. I felt alone and afraid. I was on the phone w someone which heard everything, My nails came out HORRIBLE. The gel wasn’t cured right, nails coming off. Art work was globbed on . I paid and left for about 30 min tried to get a hold of Corperate . Could not get in touch, I went back in and asked for the manager as I was trying to avoid due to her making ****** rude degrading comment about me and my appearance as well as my medical issues.
I had the same person I had on the phone from earlier and I approached her and ask if she could simply redo them as they were not acceptable at all . She said no she could paint over them but that’s it and she will email Corperate her nail tech tried her best. She then said I was vaping in the restroom I told her ok? Confused and like she was grasping at strings (which I was not) . I declined her offer to just glob my already thick tacky nails w more polish and said I would contact Corperate. Pres. said bc I vaped charge will standBusiness Response

See below from our team regarding this client and photos attached of her vaping in the salon******* ***** 7:01 PM
She makes every tech run over. We would rather her not come back in.

When people are nodding off they jerk and that is impossible to have happen and do nail art at the same time.

I had to do 90% of ********* guest that was after ******* because she makes it impossible to do the services
******* ***** 6:56 PM
We have a guest that is requesting a call. Today was her third time in. Each time she comes in on something. She falls asleep during the services, almost falls when sitting and walking, drops her phone and slurs her speech. She smokes her vape at the manicure table, Pedi bench then when told she can’t she goes to the bathroom and does it in there. She makes it very difficult for any tech to do the services because she is on her phone getting up or falling sleep. She is unhappy with her nail art and the fact that I told her again today that she cannot smoke her vape anywhere in the building. Her name is ******* *******. I now have three techs that have said they will not do her again.
