  Contractor with forty years experience with his adult son changed $25000 with down payment of $15,000 to remove old, build new sunroom with all included material, light. ect. after putting the floor and frame he said I had to buy the remaining materials which cost me over $8000. He kept having all sorts of personal problems which were not allowing him to come to work and to which he needed money. He kept asking for money until I had paid him all the money he had changed. He then added more money $3700 which he wanted me to give him $1000 bare in mind my project is not half way done yet. I said no not until my house has at least reached a certain point. He became extremely abusive took my permit and some material from my home, text me calling me all types of B word and that he is going to put a lean on my house. I went to zoning only to be told he was not licensed.

  My response to ****** *******:
  
  My son and I started Mrs ******* room addition on 5/07/22. We first had to tear down the original sunroom because it was build incorrectly and no permits for footer, framing, floor walls and roof. Also they original window that were install were only plexiglass. When we tore down the original sun room addition Mrs ******* was supposed to pay $10,000 but received $5,000.  
  The balance after the $5000 is $20,000. 
  
  We removed the existing sunroom as agreed for $7000 already short per the agreement $2000 at this point only to discover the drawings the drawings shown was inadequate to complete the work of the agreement from May. 
  
  We also had to get another set of drawings that was provided by ******* ****** due to the sunroom addition having to be upsizes  from 10x 18 to 14 x 22 cost increase on labor and materials. All new permits have been passed.
  
  
  Additional electric required and performed sign off by the city is require a permit posted estimated at 3800. 
  
  Mrs ******* has all the receipts of everything we bought for the material sunroom. Mrs ******n also paid the electric permit which was $150.
  
  As of today Mrs ******* still owes $27,177.31 I’m willing to working with her to get her sunroom  completed but we have to come to agreement before the work can be complete.
