    On February 5, 2025, my mother and I visited Frank's Fish and Seafood to purchase fish. Unfortunately, the store had a strong unpleasant odor, and my mother questioned the freshness of the fish. The sales associate, a lady with brown hair, informed me that if I experienced any issues with the fish, I could return it with the receipt and receive a refund. Regrettably, when I cooked one piece of fish at home, I found its texture to be old and its smell unpleasant. Seven days later, on my next day off, I returned to the store and spoke with the same sales associate. However, she refused to provide a refund, claiming that the fish was fresh, and took the fish back without offering a refund. I am seeking a refund for the spoiled fish that I purchased.

    This is the first time I have seen any complaint but I can tell you this.  They are the only people out of 30 customers and total sales of $1407.39 that had a complaint.

     

    Our store of course, is going to have a smell we sell fish.

     

    If the fish was bad she should have called us within 24 hours to report it and there would have been no issue.  She waited over 2 weeks.  How do we know that they were not out shopping that day and left the fish in the car without ice.

     

    Please advise.

    I purchase the fish on my off day wihich was a Wednesday and returned on the following Wednesday on my off day. The lady that sold us the fish said they stand by it being fresh and not old because we questioned her about that and she said just return with your receipt if you have any concerns. So she is saying how do she know if we went shopping and left it in the car and its sad for her to even say that because we went straight home. Ive never heard of a place of business refusing to refund your money when you return with product and receipt. Bottom line they are selling old fish that has been sitting for several days and or weeks they are rinsing it trying too keep it presentable to sell . We questioned the freshness that day and she said oh we stand behind our product .
