  I wish I had read previous review about this guy before we paid our deposit to do our kitchen, because I would of NEVER HIRED him! We had paid half our deposit to this guy 10/24/2023 in which his wife had picked up from our home. Ever since then, it went down hill. 11/28/2023 he was suppose to start the job because that was when his new worker would begun, I text him, and no response, then on 11/29/2023, he responded stated that he would come out on 11/30/2023 after his doctor's appt around noon and after his appt, he would pick up countertop from Menards. This guy did pick up the countertop and showed up with a receipt after 4pm, and stated he would start Dec 4 2023 he stated he would be at our home 9-930am. Showed up at 3:30 (did do the countertop). Dec 5,2023 he was suppose to be out, stated he could not come out due his shoulder after therapy. Dec 6 showed up after 12 in which he said he would be out at 10am, and only did do sink/ garbage disposal. This job was a 3 day job (ONLY IF HE STARTED ON TIME). I have a journal and ALL THE TEXTS from him and his wife in which I do not think it was his wife texting me stating he was sick. He ALWAYS has an excuse for EVERYTHING as either he is sick, doctors appt, NO SHOW which was MANY TIMES. It was like he didnt care. Both holidays were miserable for me and my family due to my kitchen which I was not able to have a family gathering. He would never return our calls, and felt like he could do whatever he wanted without care. We were VERY UNDERSTANDING, GODLY forgiving, understanding people. I had many people that needed work done in their home. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS GUY to anyone. I feel it was my responsibilty to write this review to warn others about this guy. Before we hired him, I informed him we were burnt from other contractors, and he just did. We now have to hire someone to finish HIS WORK. This is not how you conduct business, and I am going to voice my reviews on other social outlets too.

  Had a horrible experience with Bechtel General Contracting. Hired Bechtel to remove sink, faucets, disposal, countertop & cabinets; then install new same with a quartz countertop. Did not get started until near a month after quoted start date. When Bechtel did show up, he tore kitchen apart, left early to go to Lowe's and did not return for over a week. Had to call and call to get him to come back. When Bechtel finally completed project, another two weeks later, under-sink plumbing was all messed up; used a non-code part that had to be replaced; dishwasher drain line routed improperly, kitchen sinks would not drain, washer backed up into sinks and dishwasher, and overflowed in laundry room; all due to this knucklehead installing an inadequate vent, and routing lines wrong. I had to pay a pro $1300 to come in a fix what this clown screwed up. Bechtel knew he messed our home up; he knew the negative impact his ineptitude had on our day to day lives, but he did not care; did not call back, and did not offer to even try and fix, until I mentioned that I was going to sue him ... said he was sick, said his dad was sick, said they were going through stuff ... extremely rude, non-communicative, non-responsive, unprofessional, and apparently, inept when it comes to basic plumbing - at least in this case - no stars was not an option ...
