The Copper People have a website and Etsy store. I paid $1500 for a 3 dimensional copper “table top” on 11/28/23. As of 9/13/24, I don’t have it. My communication with them via Etsy messages began in Oct. ‘23. I was quoted for a table top (they knew was really just a 3D copper rectangle I wanted made to have a plaque added later to make a memorial for my daughter who died 7/13/23). I was told it might be 4-6 weeks and was encouraged to contact them often to check on the process. “****” knew my daughter’s friends and our family were excited and stated this was going to be an honor to make. I really didn’t need the item that soon since it was winter, but did want it by spring (March). I checked in a few times via Etsy message and also texted to the number I listed in this complaint. There were delayed responses when I checked in. On 4/11/24, I inquired again about the progress & requested an ETA of the delivery. The response on 4/11/24 was that it would be finished over that weekend (see in attached pic of messages). More weeks went by & still no item delivered and still no communication from them. On 5/21/24, I reached out in Etsy & did get a partial response to my message, but once again they still did not answer to my question about the delivery ETA.

There has been NO communication from them since May ‘24. They have my phone number, email, address, & Etsy account.

Earlier this week, on 9/8/24, I requested a refund since there has been no reply & no delivery, although it was paid in full 9 mos. ago.

There still has been NO REPLY and no response to any inquiry regarding the delivery ETA. I don’t even know if they started making it, what it looks like, etc.

My daughter’s life insurance money was used to purchase this copper 3D memorial and I’d like my money back so I can purchase another option since this business doesn’t seem to want to make it or respond.

    On credit card receipt, business identifies as ******* ******* ** *** ***** ******* ***** ********

There has been no response to the 9/8/24 message I sent to Copper People/*** *******. Tonight, 9/30/24, I requested a response and asked when I can expect the refund of $1500. I’m attaching this message as well

On 4/11/24, they stated it was going to be completed over that weekend and then it had never showed and they have never responded to my requests for a delivery ETA. simply need a refund.

I cannot buy my daughter’s new gravestone/ market until I receive this refund since their creation was going to be part of my original plan.

On 10/4/24, I sent a text to ************ (cell and published business number for *** ******* or **** at CopperPeople) requesting a refund of the $1500 paid to them on 11/30/23. I reminded them of all the ways they have had to communicate with me - cell phone, email, Etsy messaging, and mailing address. They have never updated me about the status of the product except on 4/11/24 they stated they “hoped” to complete it that weekend.  That was 6 mos. ago.
