I had planned on doing the 30 day program for drug/behavioral health with Woodhaven. Up on arrival I had 68.00 in cash that they took from me for me to get anything I needed from their store while I was there. I was placed in a room where I was left not shown around not given water or food in over24 hrs. I am diabetic and have some heart issues. I was finally taken for a routine trip to see the nurse and I was not feeling well. The nurse ended up calling 911 and I was taken out by paramedics. After my overnight stay at Miami Valley I decided I didn't want to go back there. I went by there to get my things and asked about my 68.00. I was told it would be sent to me via check. This has been about 4 weeks ago still no check. I have made several calls and now they say I am not getting my money and are very rude. I also realized I didn't get 2 of my prescriptions back and I had to get them replaced. Also they must of went through my bag and took 2 unopen packs of my cigarettes. I have spoke to several people and the same thing has happened to them. I don't feel they should keep my money. This is wrong. Especially since it's happening to a lot of people that have went there.

    Ms. ************,
My apologies for not having this information to you yesterday as I originally intended to and I hope this email finds you well.

I have attached copies of both the policy and the form that all clients sign upon admission here at Woodhaven. ******** ******** is a third-party provider that handles all store orders, purchases, and vending but is held to the highest ethical and moral standard as Woodhaven is proud of it's CARF Accreditation. Upon any client admission all clients are informed three different times that any money placed on the gift card stays on the gift card once being during first contact in the initial phone call when clients are pre-screened and scheduled, secondly when a client is checking in with money and receive a receipt for their gift card purchase, and the third during the hard copy signing of all inpatient treatment paperwork.

Unfortunately, without a release of information I cannot confirm or deny that we have had a client by the name of your customer receive services from Woodhaven however, if one could be obtained I would be more than happy to provide any and all paperwork signed again if we have had a client by the name of your customer. If any additional items are needed please let me know via email or by phone and I can provide you with a copy of the client handbook that all clients receive which clearly states the gift card policy and the signed checklist that also covers the understanding of all signed paperwork, expectations, and in this matter the understanding that a gift card is not redeemable for cash unless a client is medically discharged from our facility in which the client would receive a discharge summary in which case that client would have the choice of filling a order before leaving or have a check mailed to the purchaser of the gift card.

    Best Regards,

    **** *****
