Allied Services (************) replaced my space pack, heat pump, and thermostat in 2017. Since then, it has continued to be nothing but trouble. They have to come out nearly every year to service it because the heat will stop working. They always seem to be annoyed when call. In August of 2023, both my heating and cooling stopped working. I contacted Allied. They do a service call to troubleshoot. Allied told me on the phone that my capacitor is bad and the compressor stopped working; the refrigerant levels were wrong and it caused the thermal expansion valve to go bad. They quoted me $204 for the part and service. I was told they would be in contact with me when the part was received. I never got a response. October 2024, I call them again - they try telling me they've sent letters in the mail and called me multiple times - never happened. I asked if they every ordered the capacitor - they tell me they have to come back out and look at the unit again. They come back out to look - this time I receive a hard copy of the work. I explain to the technicians that I'm extremely frustrated with their lack of communication. The tech gives me the service manager's name (****) and tells me if I don't hear back within two weeks, ask for ****, as this is not the first time he's heard complaints about similar issues. I call **** October 16, Nov 20, Feb 21, and then last Thursday June 6. He has dodged my calls every time until I demanded to talk to him on June 6. He immediately blamed me for them not ordering my part, and continued to say the part I needed was on back-order, and could not give me a quote. I called another HVAC tech for a second opinion. This tech (Michael Perry) says he believes there is a leak and it's dropping the refrigerant levels and causing all of these problems. He believes Allied knows the leak is the problem and is just trying to get me to buy more parts until my ten year warranty ends. Mike refused to do any work, but encouraged contacting the BBB.

I'm sorry to hear your having problems with your HVAC system.  Here are copy's of the invoices and internal notes for your location at ** ******** ***.  On the one invoice, there are multiple attempts to get ahold of you.  Not sure why the mail was undeliverable. Also, with calling and leaving messages, Allied assumed you had another company repair your unit. Every time the customer called we went out to the home for service.  As you will see in the job notes. customer called and canceled a visit and said it fixed it's self.  Please let me know how I can fix your issues on this matter, Thanks *****

Allied installed our HVAC about 9 years ago and it came with 10 years parts & labor warranty. This summer, the AC stopped working, so we called Allied to fix it. They replaced a part. Initially, they denied that labor is covered and billed us for service as well as labor. When we disputed their claim, they removed the labor cost for replacing the part but still charged $119 service charge. For a repair that is covered under parts and labor warranty, a company shouldn't be charging service charges. Allied should credit the charges and honor their parts and labor warranty.
