I hired Enterprise for a full roof replacement on a house I recently purchased. Based on past experiences, I made my expectations clear, and was sure to verify that certain tasks, such as properly cutting and sealing flashing into the mortar joints, would be taken care of. All trust was lost on the first day of the install when I had to call out the salesman repeatedly as the roofers had started laying shingles before properly putting ice and water around the roof penetrations and chimney. I also paid extra for roof deck vents to be installed, but the roofers had no experience installing them and completed all installs incorrectly.

After finishing the work, there were multiple issues which the roofers and Enterprise had clearly thought I wouldn't notice. I agreed to pay 90% of the invoice with the remaining 10% to be paid once all issues were addressed. Enterprise did work with me to attempt to fix the issues, which I appreciated, but even after 5 return trips, all have not been fixed. When I provided them with additional pictures, they told me that the roof is fine and that they would pursue a lien against the house if I did not pay the remaining balance, despite the work not being completed per our contract. With that, I'm left with a damaged roof with multiple issues remaining, which Enterprise refuses to address.

      To summarize:
Enterprise has been paid in full and on time. Enterprise has not fulfilled their end of the contract. Enterprise has claimed that the roof warranty is no longer valid. Enterprise advertises that they "get the job done right the first time," but issues remain even after 5 return trips.

      The remaining issues include:

      - Damaged and torn shingles in various areas, including valleys
      - Damaged metal drip edge due to overshot nails and poor workmanship, including (3) improperly installed gutter hangers
      - Deck air vents not installed per manufacturer instructions
      - Mortar not cut for flashing
      - Unsealed flashing nails

      Business Response

      Date: 10/24/2023

We are thankful we only run into a client like this every 10-20 years, or else we would be like the other 95% of roofing contractors that last an average of 4 years, not closing in on 100 years of service. Enterprise has included our contract, invoice with customer service credit included, job completion checklist (by superintendent), third punch list reviewed by both ***** and the owner of the company, warranty, and photos showing issues addressed and the final job from the link below. All work was completed as per agreement, but ***** always found small, inconsequential issues after each review. After first full payment not clearing – and ***** delaying the full payment for another 2 months, Enterprise demanded payment in full. Thankfully, ***** paid in full and our warranty could be in full effect. We are sorry that ***** gave us a poor review, but we are happy that the roof has always performed as intended and will last for years to come. Enterprise did not work on gutters, fascia cover, or fascia wood.
