      Unfortunately Window World has decided that it will not honor it's "Lifetime Warranty" on a window in the condominium we purchased for our business, claiming that, due to the building being considered a "commercial" property, it does not fall under the Lifetime Warranty criteria.
      The window is now without a view due to moisture buildup within the window
      and mildew collecting inside the window, indicating a broken seal and sash.
      The paperwork says different, even stating that the warranty IS transferable.

      The same window, originally installed on 7/20/2017, had a sash and broken seal replaced on 10/12/2020 and these repairs were done under the same
      Lifetime Warranty.
      Having spoken to corporate about the situation, we have been denied the services.

      Our recommendation to any potential buyers would be to proceed with caution due to the fact that the window purchased for our application is problematic and Window World would quite possibly renege on any warranty/guarantee that is included with your purchase of a window from window world.

      The complainant is not a Window World customer, nor are they
      the original purchaser of the windows for the property. The property deed was
      transferred from the original purchaser of the windows to the complainant on
      11/14/203 according to the Montgomery County Ohio auditor’s records. The
      lifetime warranty extends only to residential properties for original purchaser
      who resides in the property and is transferable one time to a new owner, who
      also is required to live in the property. The warranty does not cover business
      properties. The complaint made clearly states this is a business property,
      therefore it is not a residential property. Window World services and repairs
      windows we have installed, whether covered under warranty or not. Our customer
      service representatives quoted the cost of the requested service to the complainant. The
      complainant denied the quote and stated that they wanted the service completed
      at no charge, which they are not entitled to. The referenced service in the complaint was completed
      in November 2020 and was for the original window purchaser. This service had associated fees, for which the original purchaser paid. As previously stated, Window World would be happy to
      complete the service for the complainant at the previously quoted price.
