    On oct. 10 2022 I went into the office defiance ohio utilities to let them know I needed my service turned off on the oct. 11th. I brought with me the deposit receipt and asked if there was anything else I needed to do. I was promised by an employee that after the last bill I would receive the rest of my deposit if any. But to make sure after a few months to call because the company does not always refund the money per verbal request. So 12/09/2022 this morning I called. I was told I needed to bring in the receipt and last payment. I go I was promised that the last bill would come out of the deposit and be sent back to me if anything that was left. She goes well we need to see the receipt. I let her know I am 15 hr.s away and have already brought it in. She then said something about sending me an avadavat. I figured it meant something to do with them sending me a check. Instead it was an acknowledgment saying I have lost the receipt??? So I found my receipt in my paperwork and sent her a photo copy and asked for my money back. No response. I also do not feel I should pay a late fee when they promised to send me my refund back and never have. I have been told by others they rip people off this way.
