      On July 4th, I ordered two brake calipers for my 1976 Corvette from Autozone.com because the local store did not have stock. The website told me that I could have them shipped and arrive July 6th. Well they only sent one and it was two days late. When I opened the package, they only shipped one. I called the 1-800 number on the invoice and was told the other is not available and will not be! First I had to call and cancel my mechanic appointment for July 7th, and now they only shipped one! Obviously one caliper is not going to work so I returned it to the local store and was refunded immediately. I was told to call back to the 1800 number. When I called, I was told that the refund would take 5 business days....Today is Saturday so that means that I will not receive a refund until July 16th? They charged me for something they could not even supply and now want my money from July 4th until the 16th? They then emailed me and tried blaming my bank. I happen to work there. The local refund turned up immediately. I have had to cancel two appointments with my mechanic now and left him without work for those days all while holding MY money that they have no right to and never should have charged with no product. This has cost me an additional $300 to order elsewhere, wont have parts for at least a week, won't refund me as quick as they took my money with no product, also cost me interest on the purchase, not to mention additional interest on the replacement purchase since I did not have the cash because they are holding my refund. I have spent well in excess of a thousand dollars at Autozone just the first half of this year and have always gone there even when Walmart is cheaper for simple things. I have also managed to irritate my mechanic and he will not even reschedule my car repair until I have the parts in hand. This is a horrible and deceptive way to do business. They could care less about me even though their local store does. I want my money.
