    I have hired Christopher as a handyman both at my previous address and at my new home in west unity. I never knew him prior to hiring him but I have known him for about 6 months. He has done various carpentry jobs for me. I haven't had any issues prior to this latest issue. In the past I have given him money to buy materials such as doors and he has gone to menards to purchase them and he has come back to perform the work. This arrangement was mostly his idea but I agreed to it too. I wanted him to do more work for me and contacted him before my birthday at the end of June. He said he would have availability after July 4th. I waited but that week.and the next went by. I told him I wanted 3 lights changed and a sliding glass screen door which I can't pick.up myself. So i.decided to mail him the check for the door (100 dollars).and I bought the lights myself. This was to save him time of coming out to me and then driving to get the door and to maybe get, hopefully, on the schedule sooner. He after that of course cashed the check on the day of the first excuse of not coming on the day he had told me he would be at my house. (7/14). Subsequently 4 more times he has not shown up when he promised. Some evidence I have in texts. So finally I requested a refund as he said he would gladly do "ASAP". As in a text and prior to that verbally. As of today I'm still waiting. I hate to do this this way but I'm tired of excuses and changing my schedule to accommodate a no-show and I want my money back. I thank you for helping me. I dont know how to upload the evidence but I have the bank statements and text messages
