I purchases a brand new 2021 **** Bronco from Tri State Ford in June 2021. I took a trip on July 11, 2021 a little over an hour away and by the time I reached my destination my rear passenger brake was so hot you could smell it burning. I had several witnesses, including the salesman that sold me the vehicle. I called the next day (Monday) to report the issue and to schedule it to come in for service. Upon arriving on July 20, 2021 and they said there was no issue found. Since then I have taken the vehicle in several times for the same brake (making grinding and squealing noises). It would become worse when it rained and I put in reverse. They continued to say there was nothing found. I asked them to look again in March 2022 with nothing. In September 2022, I took it in again, with them stating that it was corrected at that time. In February 2023 I took it back again for the same issue and was told the parts were ordered and that it would be covered under warranty. I called in several times to see if the parts were available yet and I was told over the phone that there was no ETA for the parts. Finally on Oct 18, 2023 they claimed that my brakes were scorned and I could just drive it until it needed changed completely. They also told me that my rotor was now going bad. I contacted **** Corp and they requested for the buyback program which was denied because they said the complaints happened after the first year of purchase. This all started within 30 days of purchase.

My son Purchased a 2015 *** ****** from Tri State Ford (I co signed for the loan) the purchase price was $16,794 in ************** **** in January of 2021. He drove the car for approximately 3 months and the motor locked up. The car was sold with a power train warranty plus an additional warranty. When we contacted Tri State ford for the repair they denied the repair stating the warranty needed to go through **** When we contacted *** they indicated the warranty they offer would not cover the repair because they has a KSDS product Improvement campaign (***) and the software update had not been completed thus voiding the warranty. My complaint is that the car was sold without the dealer checking to see if any outstanding recalls ect had been completed. Obviously neither my son nor myself had been notified of the *** since the improvement campaign notices were sent WELL BEFORE my son ever owned the vehicle. The reason I am just now filing the complaint is because I recently took over the $345 a month payment because my son needed to be free of this debt and use the money he had been saving to put in a new motor so he could purchase a vehicle that actually runs and he can drive. I am hoping that someone will be able to help me get the repairs to the car and to make this situation right. I would expect this if it was a private party sale but NOT when we THOUGHT we were dealing with a reputable dealership. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I see that there is a class action lawsuit over this KSDS product improvement campaign that has an end date of November 2023. I'm not sure if this is an avenue I should follow but I thought I should start with this agency first. Additional documentation upon request.
