    My son was in an accident on 10/26/2024 and required towing services. A-Ray's was contacted by police. The accident required my son to be taken to the hospital as a precaution, so all decisions on towing was conducted by officers on the scene. The car was taken to A-Ray's (a 12-mile tow) and impounded. I have no problem with any of these actions, until I received the bill. The bill was as follows:Fuel Surcharge: $120 Accident Tow: 475 Admin Fee: 75 Environmental: 150 Gate Fee: 50 Labor: 150 Set Out Fee: 50 Storage Fee (5 Days - $45 per Day): 225 Taxes: 94 TOTAL: $1,389 Keep in mind this is simply the towing of a wrecked car 12 miles to a junk yard and storing it for 5 days. I found this charge ridiculous. The "deal" I was offered was to turn the title over to A-Ray's or make a cash payment of $800. I chose the latter as I felt the car was worth slightly more than $800 after the accident. Regardless, I felt like A-Ray's took advantage of the situation by over-inflating the charges for the services rendered.I have no other motive here other than helping others when considering any towing needs in the ******, ** area. Avoid A-Ray's if at all possible.
