In September, we hired E.H. Roberts for plumbing work in our building for $5,800, scheduled to start on October 8th. This was delayed when they unexpectedly requested upfront payment on the day of scheduled work, disrupting our operations. The work eventually began on November 12th.
After completing the plumbing installation, we faced significant issues with four toilets that would not flush. Over five months, we attempted to have E.H. Roberts return for repairs, but they canceled our appointments four times due to various reasons, leaving us frustrated. Despite our efforts, the repairs were not satisfactorily completed.
After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), we received a call from E.H. Roberts, stating they would make repairs if we removed our BBB review. In good faith, we complied, but the issues persisted.
Before any work began I informed E.H. ROberts that there could be debris in the water line due to a water main break. A technician assessed the issue, he deemed a necessary inspection unnecessary. Later, they confirmed the need for a new seal kit but insisted on upfront payment, which was concerning given the installation's warranty. When I expressed my concerns, the representative dismissively hung up.
Due to ongoing plumbing issues and unsatisfactory service, we have decided to seek the services of a different plumbing company. We hope our experience prompts a review of E.H. Roberts’ practices to prevent future customers from facing similar challenges. Thank you for your consideration.
