1 starI am filing this complaint regarding my recent experience with AirMax.On June 13th, my trusted AC tune-up vendor informed me my air conditioners compressor needed repairs. I immediately contacted my home warranty company and specifically requested AirMax because Id had a good experience with them before. AirMax came on June 23rd, but my AC broke down that morning during a heat wave.After many calls with the warranty company, I was told AirMax could help resolve the denied claim by confirming the timeline: that my unit was working, maintained, and failed due to normal wear and tear. Four different warranty **** confirmed AirMaxs input was key.Instead of helping, AirMax refused to confirm anything and even accused the warranty company of fraud. They then turned hostile toward me and falsely said their customer relations person would helpno one ever did. I had to keep calling and connecting them to the warranty company myself.Because AirMax refused to cooperate, I now have to pay out of pocket for a new AC unit. I cant even get a second opinion through my warranty because any other vendor would find a broken unit and have no option but to confirm the same.AirMax acted unprofessionally, misled me about helping, and failed to support my claim in good faith. Their actions caused financial and emotional stress, leaving me without AC during extreme heat and without coverage my warranty should have provided.I am seeking accountability and ask that AirMax address this and provide fair compensation or at least acknowledge their failure to deliver acceptable service.Thank you for your help in resolving this.Review fromMarc A

Very bad customer service **** who answered the phone is lied and she has a very bad attitude, she told us she has all part and she wants to push us to next week appointment which its too long and then when I contacted my insurance the called her to confirm, she told them oh some parts are not available and she didnt schedule us of todays appointment because her bad attitude with us.I highly recommend to not use them until they improve their communication and customer service.She call us back with her bad ego and canceled the service coz I gave a bad reviewAirmax Heating & Cooling, LLC

We service your home through the home warranty. Per your home warranty guidelines we nor AHS are held liable for delay in parts. Do to the extreme verbal abuse to my staff because of delay of part we have made the decision not to service you as a customer and we reported the information to your home warranty, if you should have further concerns please contact your home warranty.Review fromKarley W

I want to leave a review for this company. Last year, I went through them based on my home owners warranty company. ***** originally went out last summer. I had a total of 5 to 6 visits from them to fix problem after problem. I had no AC for almost the entire summer. At one point I believed the problem was fixed, put on my AC and it was still no different. Another visit later, my outdoor unit was ZIP TIED shut with an unbalanced fan that completely destroyed my outdoor unit resulting in my having to get a new one, and pay for this. Even though a technician had come out, investigated that the fan was broken because they told me to run it, and said, "this is our fault." This was the worst experience I've ever had with a company. After finally agreeing to pay out of pocket (and sick of having no AC on the third floor) I thought all was well and everything was fixed. Well here we are one year later. My AC is out again. I have only parts covered under warranty. I called Airmax and they "no longer service my area" in ********. I am so extremly unhappy with them and went with someone else. I need an entire brand new AC and furnace now. This was apparently out together so badly according to the reputable company I am going through now, that this could've been a fire hazard. They are so appalled by how the outdoor unit was done, and that it was never inspected by anyone in the state of ******** because it is not up to code at all. It is a safety hazard, and it also does not match the system that is being used inside, which is why it inveitably broke yet again. I am full of regret for using this company and would unfortunatley never, ever reccomend them to do any work for you. I don't like posting a bad review but everyone needs to know about this who is considering using them. They do not do work that is up to code with what it needs to be and could've caused to much more damage to not only my home but the entire condo complex. When we arrived to the home the unit was already zip tied we order parts based of the coverage of the home warranty then further failures resulted in obsolete parts therefore per your home warranty non covered cost were deemed for repair. I had them come out 8/6, this was through American Home ******, The technician (*******) was rude and very condescending. Told him I wanted a written estimate (so I could show my partner) he just got in his truck and left! Called the company right after and told they were talking to him that they would call me back and still haven't heard anything!Airmax Heating & Cooling, LLC

We were assigned the work order through your home warranty, The technician advised customer per policy homeowner owed for refrigerant , the homeowner did not want to pay and tried to hold technician in home against his will until he added the refrigerant. The technician fled home and we are not returning to the home and reported incident to the home warranty.Andrea R.

This is NOT what happened! I don't think I could (63yrs old) female alone in my house would or could try and keep a 20 something y/o male against his will! What I asked was to wait while I called to verify charges and why I had to pay extra to check for leak. He abruptly said he wasn't waiting for me to call, that is when I asked for a written estimate (also that he was very rude) he left and never saw him or heard from company, even though I called them right after he left! Beware of this company if the home warranty company sends them out. Jason, who seemed knowledgeable, was sent to our home on 4/30 through ******** **** ******, but works for Airmax Heating and Cooling. After his assessment, he pretty much let me know we needed a new system due to wear and tear, and told me he was for us. However, he also stated ******** **** ****** doesn’t like to replace systems. This confused me because it’s in their contracts to do so if it’s wear and tear. He stated he has seen people get lawyers and his favorite time was an influencer blasting them to her thousands of followers to get any type of system replaced. Well that’s not the kicker. The kicker is, instead of this man being honest and writing the assessment up exactly how he found it and how he explained to me, he finally submitted his report a week after (5/8) being at our home only to say that our system was under capacity. A 2.5 coil with a 3 ton condenser. All lies!!! What is wrong with these companies playing with hard working Americans money?!?! I immediately had reputable companies come out the same day I got the report because I knew Jason was a liar. The pictures are the assessments of those companies. Airmax conspired with ******** **** ****** and they came up with a lie to not fix our system. Oh, don’t worry Airmax, I will review *** also and the fight is on people!!! I was told by several different contractors this is what happens when people don’t fight back. These home warranty companies will try to get out of replacing your system even though they have this in their contracts. But who would have thought the contractors would also be in on it and lie?!?! I wouldn’t recommend either one of these companies for a warranty or home repair needs.Airmax Heating & Cooling, LLC

AirMax came out as a second opinion through my Home Warranty company with my general contractor present, where they suggested that the issues were fixable. After weeks of prodding, they finally shared (after many phone calls on my end) that they weren't able to fix the issue. They are completely incapable of doing what seems like basic work & totally incompetent. I wonder how they remain in business. STAY AWAY, unless you like hounding a company for absolutely no results.Airmax Heating & Cooling, LLC

We were a second opinion for the warranty company, we explained to the home warranty what would be required to resolve the issue. We notified homeowner after we received information from the home warranty on how they were going to proceed per their contract.The homeowner then requested our company to quote. Our company declined to quote the repair due to previous circumstances with other contractors per our arrival. We wished to not to proceed with quoting.Airmax Heating & Cooling, LLC

Our home warranty company sent AirMax Heating & Cooling out to our house to determine why our heat pump was constantly running. The tech came out and told us we just need a new thermostat and he'd place the order. Our house was at 70 degrees when the tech arrived. Once he left our unit completely stopped working and we've been without heat for 24 hours (now at 57 degrees in single digit temps running two portable heaters). We called AirMax last night and left a message. No one called us back. We called back this morning to be turned away TWICE since there was a "grounding issue" according to the rude lady taking customer support calls. I tried to explain there couldn't possibly be a grounding issue that wasn't caused by her tech, but she just kept talking over me and telling me if I'm not satisfied with them just coming back when the new thermostat arrives to call ******** **** ******. HOW IS THIS OKAY? We have children and animals in the house that could suffer consequences from their lack of customer care.Brooke K.

I just went to my home warranty claim and this AirMax company had the guts to add a negative comment about me! Horrible customer service! I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with the out come of your visit in February with the home warranty decision. You have a issue with thermostat , the grounding issue was rectified at the time of service, the home warranty made decision that was not covered.
