      My mom looked for a Spanish-speaking attorney to make a legal document that was legally valid outside of the USA,in San *********** ********.Mom came across Rodriguez & Porter,LTD & spoke w/a lady who answered the phone,she spoke Spanish,mom explained to her what she needed to avoid any confusion.The lady said they could help her & gave mom an appt.Mom dropped off ID papers & documents requested by the attorney.
      On 12/3/24,mom gave the law firm the amount of money required to begin the legal process,after they gave her the document she made the final payment. Mom & my sister met the attorney [lady] the day they gave her the document that they led her to believe was a valid legal document that would be good in ** ******** as mom had explained to them.Mom sent the document done by Rodriguez & Porter,LTD to the attorney helping her in ** ********,he told her that the document wasn't valid in ** ********.Mom has called Rodriguez & Porter,LTD 6 times & no one has had the courtesy to call her back.Mom asked me to call,but said that once I told them that she's my mom they wouldn't talk to me or call me back if I left a voicemail.They've not called us back,it has been almost 2wks of my call & 1 month of mom's calls.I explained in my message that the legal document they made for my mom wasn't valid in ** ******** & mom wants a full refund or at least 1/2 of what she paid them,they've not called me back.It's a shame that a law firm knowingly tricked my mom.Not only because she's an honest & hardworking 75yr old lady,but because they take advantage of whomever they think is easy to trick.We've heard sad stories of Hispanics who have been scammed by attorneys because they can't speak English or they think every Hispanic who enters their office is here illegally & do not have anyone to defend them or help them.We're not all here illegally,mom & us are naturalized US citizens & are proud of being Americans,but saddened by people/businesses that behave like Rodriguez & Porter,LTD.
