Terrible Customer Service. I bought an engine from the owner directly. After paid for it. I took of work to go get the engine. I told the owner it was a 3 hour drive from my house and I asked if there was someone I could contact incase I get stuck in traffic. He said no and that he was closing at 4pm. The site and the sign outside says they close at 5pm. After the owner took my money he literally was going to let me drive 3 hour and leave. Also the engine was a piece of crap and stopped working conveniently right after their short warranty. Now I have a broken engine and had to buy a new one.

Do not buy anything from this yard, see my you tube video here ******************************************* . This was the SECOND engine they supplied that was a failure. They required me to pay shipping back for a defective unit, utilized my shipper to send another unit to save themselves shipping costs on their defective warranty unit, and the second unit as seen in the video was defective too. Was told at my cost I could ship it back for yet another, or at my cost ship it back and be refunded on a percentage of the original sale, netting me in the end .. spending $1480.00 and having nothing to show. Lies about the products provided and the mileage as well. Absolutely nothing ethical happening here. Buyer beware!

We like to first mention that we are not a junkyard or salvage yard of any kind. second you were given the option to return the engine before the warranty ended which you refused to do whether is was returning it by using freight company (which we would of extended the warranty end period to accommodate the transit time from your shop to our facility) which you denied to do you could drove down and return the engine in person which you refused to also do we gave you multiple option to either a get an exchange or return the engine and you refused. It is literally impossible for two of the same engines, from two different vehicles, from two different shipments to have the same problem. This customer refused to return the engine and has lost his chargeback dispute with his credit card company.

The options presented were at a further loss on the consumer end. This company sells an engine and charges shipping, upon failure of an engine it becomes the customers responsibility to pay for shipping back the gallery engine. JDM in efforts to save themselves money, refused to split the cost of shipping by using my shipper to bring the warranty engine back, but magically upon my shipper arriving they loaded another engine into his truck, refusing to compensate for the shipping back (400 value), and it wasnt on a pallet strapped safely or wrapped up as required for their returned bad unit. Second engine was installed and is a failure, compression was low and smoked out the exhaust terribly, just like the first engine. The options presented by JDM was to pay shipping to them again for another replacement, or pay shipping to them for a refund with a huge restocking fee. All this while paying a certified technician to install and engine 3x into the car. See the ******* video as it presents the facts. We sourced another engine from a different facility, the car runs perfect with no smoking issues, or any problems. JDM refuses to accept responsibility for both defective products and poor customer service. See their Google reviews as well to see others issues. The credit card dispute hasn't even been finalized, just another false statement from JDM, to be expected. Buyer beware.. extremely unethical.

Found a engine on ************ that this company had listed with 55k miles and was priced at $1400.00. Upon calling JDM Midwest Motor Depot Inc was told that then engine was $2200.00. The gentleman was very rude when I asked how it was that price when it was listed $800.00 cheaper on ************. Went ahead and paid the extra only to get the engine and install it only to find the timing cover was cracked and pouring oil out and has a timing chain slap noise. When I called JDM the very rude gentleman told me to put the timing cover off of original engine on the new engine and put new timing kit in new engine. Mind you the engine they sold me was only supposed to have 55k miles!

No one at no time was rude to this customer if anything he was rude to our employees. when this customer called about the timing cover our employee explain the best solution was the swap the covers out as the sometimes do get damage in transport either from ***** to the u.s or from our door to their door. our employee also suggest to check the timing component while they were swapping the cover to ensure everything was in working order. which this customer did not like and start to be very rude and hostile to our employee

The gentleman intact was rude every time we spoke on the phone. I talk on speaker phone just in case things like this happen so I do have 6 witnesses. Your employee said he personally heard the engine run. Evidently this was in fact false. Otherwise he would have seen the timing cover leaking. The engine was 3 teeth out of time as well! So I just bought a $2500 core! Thanks *** ******* ***** ***** ****
