On may 24,2024 I had a six foot vinyl fence installed, old torn down by this company as well. Initially I was happy and fence seemed sturdy. About three weeks later the front gate was not closing as the latch was rubbing, the space between the fence door and post was more narrow. I called dale owner of company and he or someone fixed it. I was not present at the time. It was fine until couple weeks ago, it was not latching and door seemed to have shifted, the gaps that were present were not. I contacted dale and he was going to set up a time to meet me upon my request as I checked other posts and found them to be very wobbly all but two. I informed him of the issues that had occurred and he was going to call me with a time to meet on Fri todays date. I was out of town on 8/1 and received a voice mail that my fence was going to be looked at between 130-2pm on 8/1. I received this voice mail at 1245pm and rushed home to find that someone had already been there as I seen on my web cam. They were there at 1pm and gone before I arrived. The gate had been adjusted but no posts had been fixed. The back part of my fence was adjusted and is now pressing on my garage siding and they caused siding to shift and there is three inch gap of siding underneath visible at top portion of fence, at bottom portion of the fence the siding is dented in as fence is firmly up against it pressing on my garage. This is six foot tall fencing from top to bottom.I texted dale and he told me “ the fence is fine it’s suppose to be wobbly “. I asked for him to meet me to discuss issues, also sent him videos of the issues including the wobble and again he said it was fine and told me if he would make a trip and nothing was wrong he was charging me 150$. I sent him another text yesterday afternoon requesting to meet and again listed all the issues and have heard nothing else from him, which is reason I am filing complaint.

I have sent a crew out 2 times. It's a vinyl fence that will flex. There is nothing wrong with the fence.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Although I agree that the business has returned two times, it was to fix the gate that was misaligned with the latch. The post wobbling occurred shortly afterwards which is very much more than just average flexion. There is very much a problem with the structure as it is not solid as it should be.As reported before, all but a few of the posts are not solid which is causing the structure to easily wobble.

    Sincerely,

AWC/********************* provided estimates for front door railing, 2 rear door rails and a dog fence in August. When the quotes were approved, he texted that he would order the materials and install would be in October due to being backed up. He was told at this time about the propane line as the tank is only about 6-8 feet from the dog fence. In October, he asked for prepayment for materials he said he ordered in August.

On October 4, the 3 rails and dog fence were installed. The propane line wasn't checked and it was broken needing a repair costing ******. The 2 rear rails had a thick railing installed which comes in front of the doors. The location required a thin railing. The patio doors will soon be replaced and the contractor said the patio doors are slightly smaller and will be framed in such a way as to correct this issue so this is just documentation of unprofessional installation. The main issue is the front door railing which was put together with mismatched bases, 2 pairs of which don't even fit, and poles and caps of different widths with some caps not fitting. The bottom pole wasn't cut down to size and sticks up in the air making it awkward to use (added because Mom is 79) and just not standard.

When AWC/**** was texted the next day to make the corrections, he was grossly unprofessional, hostile, made things up, gaslighted and outright lied (text conversation is included). This behavior should not be acceptable to a BBB accredited business.

Mom wants a refund of the front porch installation only (the invoice listed as Quickrail). Because of the lack of quality of the installation and his unprofessional response, he is no longer welcome on the property. Mom will have find someone else to install replacement railing.

There will be no refund issued.
